Patrons donned some of their finest threads to match the premium drinks-free event and the exquisitely styled venue and they seized every opportunity to take photographs against the themed backdrops or experience the 360 photo booth.

Along with premium drinks, attendees had their taste buds mesmerized by dishes courtesy of the renowned Chef Creig, and desserts by Lasco and Creamery Novelties Ice Cream.

Patrick the Hypeman and DJ Jus Jay produced another masterful set of energy and musical diversity which rocked the crowd for their entire presentation.

Hutchy & Sizz, along with DJ Russian completed the DJ roster and they ensured that patrons got lost in the music with classic and present soca and dancehall hits, along with some of the biggest songs in hip-hop and afrobeats.

Lead Pipe & Saddis maintained the exceptional quality of the event during their tenure on stage by performing hit songs such as “Shackle out”, “Ah feeling”, “Sometimes” and the obvious crowd favorite “Nothing on you”.

A stellar firework display added the perfect accessory for a night where patrons lost themselves in the music, in the vibes and in paradise.

Voters electing new government in St Kitts and Nevis today

Black Immigrant Daily News

An estimated 50,933 people in St Kitts and Nevis are registered to cast ballots in Friday’s general election that Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris was forced to call three years ahead of the constitutional requirement following the collapse of his coalition Team Unity administration that had won a second consecutive term in office in June 2020. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHATSAPP GROUP FOR NEWS UPDATES.

Supervisor of Elections, Elvin Bailey, said that 34 candidates representing six political parties are contesting the polls which opened at 7:00 am and will close 11 hours later. There is one independent candidate.

Harris’ People’s Labour Party (PLP) is one of the six parties with the others being his former coalition partners, The People’s Action Movement (PAM) and the Nevis-based Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM).

The main opposition, St Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP), The Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) and the Moral Restoration Movement (MRM) are all contesting 11 seats in the 15-member Parliament. The other four seats in the legislative chamber will be filled by people nominated by the Governor General following the polls.

The 2020 general electio was held in the height of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the travel restrictions led to a significant number of nationals residing overseas being unable to cast ballots. The restrictions remain in place.

According to the official figures issued, while 48,076 people had been registered to vote, only 28,032 votes were cast or 58.31 per cent of the electorate, making it the lowest turnout in the previous three elections for the twin-island Federation.

The polls are being monitored by observer teams from the Organisation of American States, whose members flew into the Federation on Tuesday, while the six-member Caribbean Community (Caricom) arrived on Wednesday.

On Thursday night, Fire and Rescue Services responded to a call regarding a fire at the Electoral Office that turned out to be untrue.

Jorge Dávila alega campaña de Wanda Vázquez no recibió $300 mil dólares para asesores políticos

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Radio Isla TV
