Here’s The Latest On What The Caribbean Immigrant Judge Has Said About The Trump Case

News Americas, New York, NY, Mon. October 21, 2024: Caribbean immigrant and federal Judge Tanya Chutkan made headlines again on Friday, October 18th, when she ordered the release of over 1,800 pages of heavily redacted evidence linked to the case against former President Donald J. Trump. The materials were released despite objections from Trump’s legal team, who argued that making any information public ahead of the election would amount to interference.

“If the court withheld information that the public otherwise had a right to access solely because of the potential political consequences of releasing it, that withholding could itself constitute – or appear to be – election interference,” Judge Chutkan wrote in her October 17th ruling.

The evidence, tied to federal prosecutors’ claims that Trump sought to overturn the 2020 election, included a four-part appendix submitted by special counsel Jack Smith. Although much of the document remains redacted, Judge Chutkan defended the release, stating that withholding it could be seen as a form of election interference itself.

Trump has since reacted strongly, labeling Judge Chutkan, who was born in Jamaica, as “the most evil person” and accusing her of contributing to election interference by releasing the evidence. He criticized the decision during a podcast appearance, claiming the move was politically motivated and comparing the treatment of Capitol rioters to the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II.

The newly released evidence mostly includes material already public, such as parts of former Vice President Mike Pence’s statements about not overturning the election results. While these documents do not appear to introduce major new allegations, they offer additional context to the case.

Judge Chutkan’s decision follows the Supreme Court’s July ruling that certain actions by a president may be protected under immunity. The court tasked Judge Chutkan with determining what evidence remains admissible, with Trump’s team set to respond by November 7th.

Despite the intense scrutiny, Judge Chutkan has maintained that legal decisions will not be influenced by Trump’s ongoing campaign schedule.

The Unspoken Assets Of The Caribbean

News Americas, NEW YORK, NY: The Caribbean region is often dismissed as too small geographically and economically but a new study claims it may be big on an often unspoken asset. According to data compiled on EveryoneWeb from a number of different studies, Caribbean men are among the best-endowed in the world.

The study claims men from Jamaica have the biggest penises in the Caribbean at an average 6.4 inches while the answer to the question, if men from the Dominican Republic have big penises, is that they measure on average 6.3.”

Both Jamaica and the Dominican Republic men rank high for sex tourism.

Belize, Haitian and Cuban men measure an average 6.2” according to the study while Suriname came in at the lower scale with a reported 5.3.”

No other Caribbean nations were reported.

The data also shows that the global average penis size is 5.5in – the size of the display on an iPhone 6 Plus while the title of biggest penises in the world goes to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where the average is 7.1in.

The title of smallest goes to North Korea with an average penis size of 3.8in.

South America is comfortably the most well-hung continent, with an average of 6.36 in while American and British men average at 5.6” respectively. The Latin American men with the highest penis volume average are from Ecuador.

Only 3 percent of men worldwide are dealing with 8in-plus and only 6 percent actually need extra large condoms.

Anguilla Secures New Domain Management Deal Amid AI Boom

News Americas, New York, NY, Fri. Oct. 18, 2024: The Caribbean British territory of Anguilla has taken another significant step in its digital evolution, signing a new agreement with the U.S.-based company Identity Digital on Oct. 15, 2024, to manage its highly coveted “.ai” Internet domain. This deal comes amid a global surge in demand for AI-related domains, as artificial intelligence continues to shape industries worldwide.

Anguilla, which has been responsible for the “.ai” domain since the 1990s, is seeing unprecedented revenue growth as companies flock to secure AI-themed web addresses. Despite the change in management, domain registration fees will remain stable, but Anguilla continues to benefit from payments when new “.ai” domains are registered or when expired ones are resold. Some of these domains have fetched tens of thousands of dollars on the market.

The artificial intelligence boom, sparked in part by the rise of popular technologies like ChatGPT, has brought a windfall to Anguilla. The island’s earnings from domain registrations soared to $32 million last year, quadrupling its previous revenue and now accounting for about 20% of the island’s government income. This marks a significant shift from the pre-AI era, when domain revenues made up only 5% of government funds.

Premier Ellis Webster expressed optimism about the financial boost but remained cautious about relying solely on domain-related income. “We can’t predict how long this will last,” Webster told the Associated Press, emphasizing the importance of diversifying the island’s economy to avoid potential future financial shortfalls. He noted that funds from domain sales have already been allocated to vital infrastructure projects, including the expansion of the airport, free healthcare for seniors, and the construction of a vocational training center at the local high school.

Identity Digital, which also manages Australia’s “.au” domain, will take over management of Anguilla’s domain services by early next year. This partnership is expected to enhance the security, resilience, and performance of the “.ai” domain, ensuring continued growth and minimizing risks from cybercriminals.

The global AI rush has dramatically increased the number of “.ai” domains, with more than 533,000 currently registered – a tenfold rise since 2018. This has positioned Anguilla at the center of the AI domain boom, even though the island itself has no significant AI industry. Still, Premier Webster is hopeful that Anguilla may one day develop into a hub for AI innovation.

Anguilla’s unique role in the AI-driven digital economy represents a significant opportunity for the island to diversify its economy, which traditionally relies on tourism. The income from domain sales not only supports infrastructure but also provides a financial buffer for hurricane recovery efforts and other emergency projects. As the International Monetary Fund noted earlier this year, these revenues help to make Anguilla more resilient to external shocks.

As the AI domain market continues to grow, Anguilla’s partnership with Identity Digital is expected to protect the integrity of its digital presence, reducing the risks of fraud and ensuring that the domain remains a valuable asset for both the island and the global AI community.

Directed by Brazilian Debora Baladini, the Executive Director of New York City-based Brazilian theater company Group Dot BR, Goodbye, Doctor promises to be a gripping exploration of the mind and soul. Her sessions with Lacan lead her to confront buried memories and emotions, ultimately grappling with inner demons.

Dixon plays the role of Maria, a spiritual mother figure whose presence profoundly influences Seriema’s thoughts and actions. Appearing alongside Dixon in the production are Barbara Riethe, Jerry Topitzer, and Ian Melamed. Riethe and Melamed also serve as co-producers through Psykout Productions.

A highly respected Caribbean artist in New York, Dixon has built a remarkable career that includes diverse stage roles in productions such as Ain’t Misbehavin’ at Black Spectrum Theatre, An Old Woman Remembers at Billie Holiday Theatre, and Not About Eve at the National Black Theatre Festival. She also starred in the Off-Broadway musicals Falling in Love With Mr. Dellamort and Flambeaux, the latter of which won six Audelco Awards in 2015.

Dixon’s on-screen work includes appearances in the Emmy Award-winning web series We Are New York, the 9/11 drama Echoes of a Lost Son, and the films Jamaican Mafia, Victims, and Caribbean Queen. Among her accolades, she is a two-time Audelco Award nominee and the recipient of the Caribbean Life Impact Award and the New York City Council Award for Excellence in The Arts.

Funeral For Cuban Artist El Taiger Set For Miami

A statement on the musician’s Instagram page, following his tragic death last Thursday from a gunshot wound to the head, announced that the public memorial service will begin at 1:30 PM on Saturday, October 19. The church is located at 4400 W 18th Ave, Hialeah, FL 33012.

“This will be a moment for all of us to gather and celebrate the life, legacy, and contributions of José Manuel Carbajal,” the statement emphasized. Attendees are asked to adhere to a strict dress code, while loud music, candles, and talking during the ceremony are prohibited. Total silence will be observed during the service.

El Taiger’s team expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support from fans and friends during this difficult time. Since news of his passing, hundreds of his followers have held vigils in his honor at the site where he was found. For over 15 years, El Taiger’s music was a staple at Latin parties and celebrations, and his fans are now paying tribute to the beloved artist.

El Taiger, born José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, was discovered on October 3 in the backseat of a Mercedes-Benz, shot in the head, with two red gas cans in the trunk. Authorities suspect he was shot elsewhere and later transported to a neighborhood near a hospital. The singer had faced two criminal cases over the summer, including charges of robbery and resisting an officer, but had pled not guilty to both.

Miami police have identified Damian Valdez-Galloso, also known as “El Narra,” a convicted felon and registered sex offender, as a person of interest in the ongoing investigation.

El Taiger’s cousin, Jorge Junior, shared funeral plans during an interview with Univision Noticias, revealing that the family plans to cremate the artist and return his ashes to Cuba, where they will be laid to rest next to his mother’s grave.
