El representante Jorge Navarro Suarez radicó una querella de agresión simple, por un incidente reportado a eso de las 11:55 de la noche del sábado en el estacionamiento Nuevo Centro, ubicado en la calle Escuela Libre de Música, intersección con la calle Cerámica en Hato Rey.

Según el reporte de la Policía, el representante alegó que a eso de las 11:55 de la noche del 1 de octubre del año en curso, mientras se encontraba saliendo de un concierto en el Coliseo José Miguel Agrelot, y se dispuso a buscar su vehículo en el mencionado estacionamiento, este sostuvo un altercado con un individuo en el área de los elevadores, el cual lo insultó y lo agredió en el área del rostro.

Debido al incidente, Navarro Suárez resultó con una contusión en el área de la boca.

El caso fue referido a la división de Agresiones del Cuerpo Investigaciones Criminales de San Juan, quienes se harán a cargo de la investigación.

El presidente de los Estados Unidos, Joe Biden, junto a su esposa, la primera dama Dra. Jill Biden, ya se encuentran rumbo a Puerto Rico. El avión, Air Force Two, ya partió de la Base Andrews en el Estado de Maryland con destino hacia la ciudad de Ponce. 

Los Biden aterrizarán en el Aeropuerto Internacional Mercedita de Ponce a eso de las 2 de la tarde. Allí se llevará a cabo una rueda de prensa para luego pasar al puerto de la Ciudad Señorial a eso de las 2.30 de la tarde. 

Air Force Two es un aeronave C-32, una versión modificada del avión comercial Boeing 757-200, que entró al servicio en el 1998, según el portal digital, Military.com.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment is still keeping an eye on the local covid-19 situation although cases continue to trend downwards.

So says, Chief Health Promotion Officer in the Ministry of Health Shanika John while speaking on NBC Radio this morning.

She said there is only one active reported case of covid-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Gas, diesel and kerosene prices drop Loop Barbados

Consumers will pay less for all petroleum products from today, Monday, October 3.

The price of gasoline will drop to $4.14 per litre, a decrease of 12 cents, while diesel will now be $3.90 per litre, a reduction of four cents. Kerosene will go down by two cents and cost $2.14 per litre.

The retail price of the liquefied petroleum gas will now be $169.63 for the 100-lb cylinder; $47.51 for the 25-lb cylinder; $41.97 for the 22-lb cylinder, and $38.16 for the 20-lb cylinder.

Government has capped the retail prices of gasoline and diesel at $4.48 per litre and $4.03 per litre, respectively, to bring some level of predictability to the retail prices, and shield consumers from the full increase of refined petroleum products. When calculated, the retail prices fell below the cap of the gasoline and diesel.

The Accident and Emergency Department (AED/A&E) of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital will be temporarily relocated to different areas throughout the hospital to facilitate maintenance within the department to further improve patient safety.

The process will occur between Friday, October 7, 2022, and Thursday, October 13, 2022

Acting Director of Medical Services, Dr Chaynie Williams, in a press release today, October 3, stated that “persons who need to access the AED, to do so via the Ambulance Yard,” and that “there will be Security detail present to guide patients.” The Ambulance Yard is located opposite the exit to the hospital on Martindale’s Road.

During the course of this temporary relocation, visitation to patients within the department will be restricted. Only children, the elderly, terminally-ill patients and persons in police custody will be allowed one (1) visitor at a time.

The QEH Board of Management regrets any inconvenience this may cause, and we ask that you continue to be patient with us during this time, as we continue to improve the services within the Accident and Emergency Department.

Missing teen found, police still searching for second teen Loop Cayman Islands

Shania Beckford is still classified as missing.

Jemma Watson, the 16-year-old of Bodden Town girl reported missing, has been located and appears to be in good health, according to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.

The RCIPS is thanking the public for their assistance in locating the teen.

However, a second girl — 14-year Shania Beckford also of Bodden Town — remains missing.

Shania was last seen on Olympic Way in George Town on Friday afternoon, 30 September.

Shania is described as being about 4’9″ tall, of medium build and brown complexion, with curly brown hair. She was last seen wearing a John Gray High School Uniform.

Officers are encouraging Shania to return home or attend the nearest police station immediately.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is encouraged to call the Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220 or the MASH Unit at 649-6000.

Jamaica Public Service (JPS), on the weekend announced several maintenance-related power outages for Monday, October 3 and Tuesday, October 4, in sections of at least five parishes.

The light and power company gave notice in a series of tweets on Twitter.

Troy Craddock, 37, of Upper Marl Road in Kingston 11 has been missing since Saturday, September 17.

He is of dark complexion, slim build, and is about 183 centimetres (6 feet) tall.

Reports from the Olympic Gardens police are that about 5:30pm, Craddock was last seen at home wearing a red and black long sleeve shirt, black pants and a pair of black shoes. All efforts to contact him since have proven futile.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Troy Craddock is being asked to contact the Olympic Garden police at 876-923-5468, 119 police emergency number or the nearest police station.

Kim Kardashian has agreed to pay US$1.26 million to settle Securities and Exchange Commission charges that she promoted a cryptocurrency on Instagram without disclosing she’d been paid US$250,000 to do so.

The SEC said Monday that the reality TV star and entrepreneur has agreed to cooperate with its ongoing investigation.

The SEC said Kardashian failed to disclose that she was paid to publish a post on her Instagram account about EMAX tokens, a crypto asset security being offered by EthereumMax.

Kardashian’s post contained a link to the EthereumMax website, which provided instructions for potential investors to purchase EMAX tokens.

“The federal securities laws are clear that any celebrity or other individual who promotes a crypto asset security must disclose the nature, source, and amount of compensation they received in exchange for the promotion,” Gurbir Grewal, director of the SEC’s division of enforcement, said in a prepared statement.

Kardashian has agreed to not promote any crypto asset securities for three years.

The Associated Press was not immediately able to reach Kardashian for comment.

While Kardashian is well known for reality TV, currently appearing on “The Kardashians” on hulu, she is also a successful businesswoman. Her brands include SKIMS, which has shapewear, loungewear and other products, and a skincare line called SKKN.
