Michael Martin appointed as new CEO of St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Unit

Black Immigrant Daily News

News Americas, Basseterre, St. Kitts, Dec. 14, 2022: Michael Martin has been appointed to take the helm at St Kitts and Nevis’ Citizenship by Investment Unit and lead the evolution of the country’s investment migration programme.

The twin-island nation is on a drive to enhance its Citizenship by Investment Programme, so it continues to be the benchmark of the global investor immigration industry.

The Prime Minister welcomed Martin at an event at the Citizenship by Investment Unit and expressed his excitement as Martin’s appointment, which comes at a time when the country is evolving its Citizenship by Investment Programme so that it not only attracts intelligent investors but benefits local citizens as well.

The Prime Minister also expressed his confidence in Martin who has been described as the perfect candidate to help the nation realise its goal of providing a programme that will uplift the Kittitian and Nevisian society through beneficial investment options that bring tangible value, while also offering an enriching base to international investors.

At the briefing, the new Head of the Citizenship by Investment Unit thanked the Prime Minister for trusting him with “this very important assignment” and expressed his excitement about taking on the new task.

Martin also stated that a situational analysis would be conducted to assess the status of the Unit and determine the best way forward to “maximize efficiency and effectiveness”.

“This is an operation that is very important to the development of the country, and to the people of the country. We will have to rebrand and refocus the programme, define our strategic goals, and create some new investment options that would be aligned to those strategic goals. ”

The Citizenship by Investment Programme is expected to undergo a complete evolution. Martin spoke of the strategic plans he has in store for the Unit and reiterated that the focus is on advancing the country. “We will be looking at emerging markets and redefining our target client. There must be some exclusivity to it,” he added.

St Kitts and Nevis welcomed a new administration in August that is working tirelessly to revamp the country’s citizenship by investment programme. Now, in the third iteration of its evolution, after four decades of erudition and development, St Kitts and Nevis administration is using creativity and boldness to ensure that the programme transcends to the modern age; and that the security infrastructure is enhanced and strengthened.

A local Kittian, Martin has strong financial acumen and brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning and compliance. He is touted as being the man to bring greater stability to the CBI Unit which will now have more legislative and administrative oversight.

Martin’s past experience as a service provider in the investment migration industry and his local roots make him the right candidate to understand what our external stakeholders require from us as well as knowing how we can use this programme to uplift our people.

Martin will lead a team of efficient and focused experts who will ensure that the programme increases processing efficiency and accuracy while also maintaining strong due diligence processes so that only investors of the highest calibre are accepted.

St Kitts and Nevis’ Citizenship by Investment Programme will be underpinned by three fundamental principles including sustainability, good governance and pragmatism.

The enhanced Citizenship by Investment Programme has been crafted under a sustainable model that will ensure that St Kitts and Nevis continues to be the envy of the international community by injecting high levels of integrity and administrative improvements.

The Programme is to be structured to allow for greater transparency and accountability, which make the hallmarks of a good governance framework that solidifies the foundation of any successful Citizenship by Investment Programme.

Investment options are to be tailored to align with market realities while preserving the platinum brand St Kitts and Nevis has developed and nurtured for four decades, operating the oldest Citizenship by Investment programme in the world.

Martin has served in top management positions in several companies, including the National Caribbean Insurance Company, National Bank Trust Company, and Sagicor Life Inc. He was previously a director of the Insurance Association of the Caribbean, Honorary Secretary of the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park Society Council of Management, and director for First Federal Cooperative Credit Union.

He holds a graduate diploma from the International Compliance Association and Manchester Business School, a certificate in International Trust Management from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and a certificate in Managing Financial Services from the University of the West Indies.

St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment programme was founded in 1984 and remains one of the most sought-after programmes of its kind in the world. The programme continues to be one of the most awarded, having taken the top spot in the CBI Index, a comprehensive ranking system that evaluates operational citizenship by investment programmes around the world.

St Kitts and Nevis programme continues to be underpinned by a strong multi-layered due diligence process in partnership with top due diligence firms from the United Kingdom and the United States.

Gina Huynh Trolls Yung Miami Over Diddy’s New Baby, JT Claps Back

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Gina Huynh might be locked out of Diddy’s life, but she’s not wasting a moment as she trolls Yung Miami, with whom she had a falling out earlier this year.

Yung Miami has been in the spotlight over the last few days as it was revealed that Diddy had a baby with another woman in October. The City Girls rapper appeared sensitive to the news, with her going back and forth with DJ Akademiks, who ridiculed her for being a side chick and accused her of acting out because she found out about the baby in the news, like everyone else.

Gina Huynh, who is no friend of Miami, also took a few shots of her own as she mocked Yung Miami for fighting her over Diddy but ended up in the same position as her.

“When she beefin with you over a [ninja emoji] but whole time he got somebody else pregnant,” Gina captioned a video in which she smirked at the video while putting on make-up with the song “Ok Cool” by Ceo Trail playing in the background.

“You doing all this extra sh*t,” Gina lip-syncs. She captioned the video, “City Girls down 1000.”

Late last week, the Bad Boy rapper got ahead of the news and shared that he welcomed a baby girl Love Sean Combs who was born to mother Dana Tran, a cybersecurity executive, back in October. The news shocked many as not only was Diddy posted up with Miami as the love of his life, but she had also spoken about having kids for the “Gotta Move On” rapper. Unfortunately, Diddy’s misgivings seemed to open Miami as a target for trolls, including Akademiks, who made several rude comments about her. However, on Tuesday, Diddy clarified that the City Girls rapper was not a side chick.

“@yungmiami305 is not my side chick. Never has been, never will be. She’s very important and special to me, and I don’t play about my Shawty Wop. I don’t discuss things on the internet and I will not start today,” Diddy wrote.

He also had a message for DJ Akademiks, “So think what you want. But know that if you do something to hurt mine, I’m gonna to come to your house and we’re gonna talk about it like human beings. LOVE.”

In the meantime, Diddy seems busy. He appears to be involved with Daphne Joy as well as Yung Miami and has been linked to a model named Shawntya Joseph, who he was seen posted up with in some new photos.

In the meantime, Saucy Santana and JT have risen to the occasion to defend Yung Miami. In her response to Gina, JT wrote, “He sent you to the chop shop…sit this one out.”

Yung Miami has not reacted to her post.

In May, Gina Huynh and Yung Miami exchanged words on social media after Gina posted a photo that suggested she had spent the night with Diddy.

Yung Miami, evidently in her feelings despite denying that she and the Bad Boy Label executive were seeing each other at the time, lashed out at Gina.

“Somebody please give this girl some attention.” Miami wrote after Gina shared a photo of Diddy.

“Notice me please a** b*tch go sit down! WE SEE YOU RELAX IT’S ok! You been (AROUND) just (AROUND) for years! You been waiting on this moment if he can’t make you famous b**ch I ain’t!” she said in another tweet.

At the time, Yung Miami also revealed that she was involved with Diddy despite denying that they were involved. Miami ensured that Gina knew she had taken her man from her.

It seems that Gina has had the last laugh on this round.

Drake makes a statement with his latest custom necklace.

The Certified Lover Boy is hinting to the world how many times he has chosen a diamond ring over the course of his career as he debuts a new custom necklace with 42 diamonds which were taken from 42 engagements that never took place.

In a video shared on Tuesday, the artist reveals a collaboration with Alex Moss – a custom diamond chain that falls in the center like a string.

“New piece titled ‘Previous Engagements’ for all the times he thought about it but never did it,” jewelry designer Alex Moss described the chain in a video showing it off.

The chain has “42 engagement rings, 351.38 carats in diamonds,” and was “an expedition spanning 14 months, every diamond hand selected, inspected to only suit perfection. This monumental art piece was assembled using 351.38 carats of diamonds mounted in 18k white gold,” the jewelry maker said.

Drake’s chain has piqued the personality of many who wondered who all the 42 women were. He has been romantically linked to Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, Rashida Jones, Tyra Banks, SZA, and Julia Fox, just to name a few.

Drake also has his son Adonis with French artist and former pornstar Sophie Brussaux.

Now, Drake is well-known for his fancy jewelry, but the storytelling for “Previous Engagements” has taken the case. Among Drake’s extravagant pieces are his many decorated chains and pendants, particularly featuring the owl, which is the signature sign for his OVO label.

Meanwhile, fans online reacted to the ‘Her Loss’ rapper’s latest chain.

“That’s because he’s still waiting on Kiki to fall in love with him,” one fan wrote.

“42 times!?!? And you all have the audacity to talk about JLo collecting rings!?” another person wrote.

“42 times, every time he got head he wanted to propose,” another said.

Cardi B and Offset Frolicking In Jamaica For His 31st Birthday

Black Immigrant Daily News

Cardi B and Offset are in Jamaica for the Migos rapper’s 31st birthday celebrations. On Tuesday, Cardi B shared that she and Offset were in the tropical paradise to celebrate his big day on December 14.

In a series of Instagram Stories, Cardi B showed off her nails as she and Offset got ready in their jet to go to Jamaica. In another story, she captioned a video, “My birthday love,” which showed Offset up close for the first time since his cousin and Migos member Takeoff had been killed.

In other videos, Cardi showed Offset standing by the ocean side smoking, and she also gave a view of the lush greenery. In other posts, Cardi gets adventurous as she reveals her glowing suntanned skin while riding around in a go-cart with Offset.

“Ketch di island, we on di island,” Offset says in the video in response to Cardi B saying that she was scared. The couple also appeared to have visited the popular tourist attraction Dunns River Falls, but while Offset seemed ready to climb the falls, Cardi was not up for it.

“Aww hell no,” Cardi repeats after Offset, who is seen plunging into the river water which was probably cold.

The Bronx beauty also shared a video with Offset and herself sipping cold coconut water while they enjoyed some Jamaican food with her sister Hennessy Carolina who was there too.

It’s unclear if the children visited but Offset also shared stories on his Instagram account. One of them featured Cardi B’s bikini and cover-up with Wale’s “Bag of Money” playing in the background.

It’s been a particularly tough time for Cardi B and Offset since Takeof’s death on November 1 last month.

This week, the rapper revealed a tribute to his late cousin, who spoke about his love for Takeoff. In a recent concert, the rapper revealed that he will continue to honor Takeoff at the beginning of his shows with the Jackson 5’s 1971 classic song “Never Can Say Goodbye” at the beginning of his set.

It’s good to see Offset smiling again after revealing that he has been in a dark place since the passing of Takeoff.
