Belize Tourism Board welcomes new Discover Airlines service from Frankfurt

BELIZE CITY, Belize (Oct. 22, 2026) — The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) is welcoming new air service from Europe with Discover Airlines, which will connect Frankfurt, Germany, to Belize City beginning Dec. 16, 2027. The seasonal service establishes a new gateway for travelers from Germany and connecting European markets.

Flights will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, through mid-April 2028. The schedule aligns with Belize’s dry season, giving European travelers an ideal opportunity to visit during the winter travel months.

“The introduction of this new service is of strategic importance to Belize’s tourism industry as we continue to diversify our source markets and expand international air connectivity,” said Anthony Mahler, Belize’s minister of tourism, youth, sports and diaspora relations.

“Strengthening our presence in Europe is a key priority, and this new connection from Frankfurt opens opportunities to attract more visitors from Germany and across the region, while making it easier for travelers to experience the best of Belize, from our world-renowned Barrier Reef and pristine islands to our lush rainforests, ancient Maya sites and rich cultural heritage.”

Discover Airlines is the Lufthansa Group’s leisure airline, flying travelers from Frankfurt and Munich to holiday destinations around the world. Since summer 2021, Discover Airlines has served the Lufthansa Group’s growing leisure travel segment. Guests benefit from an end-to-end booking process and seamless transfers at the Frankfurt and Munich hubs, as well as at many Lufthansa Group and partner airline destinations worldwide.
