Boosie Likens Tory Lanez Conviction To Tupac and Mike Tyson Trial

Baton Rouge rapper Boosie Badazz is commenting for the first time on the Tory Lanez trial for the shooting assault of fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion and says even though he remained quiet during the trial, he knew Tory would be found guilty.

In a new interview with Vlad TV, the rapper said he deliberately did not comment on the trial as he didn’t want to stir up any sentiment among fans of both rappers.

During the two years since the matter took place, fans of Lanez and Megan have been ardent in their beliefs as to whom they believed. The Houston rapper, in particular, received much backlash from insensitive comments, even from fellow celebrities who went from outrightly disbelieving her to downplaying the effect of what Lanez had done to her.

However, Boosie says he wasn’t surprised by the verdict.

“I didn’t want my interviews to stir which way but I knew he would be found guilty. You never saw a man and a woman go to something and that man wins,” Boosie says.

The rapper went on to rat off a few names of other male celebrities like Tupac Shakur and Mike Tyson, whom he seemed to insinuate always lost cases because of their sex rather than because they are truly guilty of the egregious acts of violence they commit against women.

“You’ve never…domestic violence, I’ve never seen nobody win in court when it’s a woman against a man. I’ve never, Mike Tyson, Tupac, it goes on and on, bro I didn’t want to say this but I’ve never seen when something like that happens that a man comes out victorious on a woman but I’ve been wanting to say this four interviews ago,” Boosie said.

He added that he also discussed the case with his aunt, who told him that it didn’t matter if Lanez was guilty or innocent once he was a man; the scales were tipped against him.

Vlad, on the other hand, also shared that over the last two years, he knew Lanez would go to jail because he spoke to people who were close to the situation, and he knew for a fact that Lanez had shot the “Wap” rapper.

The talk show host added that Lanez also messaged him privately, calling him “the feds,” and “opps.”because he felt that Vlad’s comments would sway the public from siding with him.

Skeng put on a show for his fans at BRT Weekend in Ocho Rios last weekend.

Beach Road Trip (BRT) Weekend was closed out by dancehall artist Skeng who delivered a fantastic performance in front of thousands of fans. The artist burst onto the stage before delivering a high-energy performance that had fans screaming as he bounced around on the stage.

The artist let his guard down and got personal with fans as he was seen in viral clips from the event crowd surfing and going into a thick crowd of people while performing. In one clip, Skeng is seen wearing just his blue swim trunks and his boxers peeking through.

Skeng is seen sitting on a music box on the stage before he abruptly jumps into the crowd. In one clip, the music stops as the artist screams “Jesus” as a group of women grab at him. One woman locks her hand around the artist, preventing him from moving as she also appears to fight off other women trying to grab onto the artist. The artist is later snatched up by his security personnel and taken back on stage, where he continues his performance.

BRT weekend ran from March 10-12 and featured several back-to-back events throughout the day and night in Ocho Rios.

Other artists at the event included Bounty Killer and rising artist Valiant who performed some of his hit songs like “Cut All Losses,” “North Carolina,” and others. The artist’s performance was a short 12 minutes, but Valiant did not disappoint as the crowd sang along to his hit music. The artist received much praise on social media as his fans commented on his great stage presence as a “born performer” but that he also kept fans engaged and excited while his voice and sound were almost identical to his music. The artist’s strong voice stood out as he performed all the lyrics of his songs before politely exiting the stage.

BRT weekend was a packed party weekend that featured performances from Jahshii on Saturday, Skinny Fabolous, and Ding Dong, among others.

Ice Spice finally gets a major co-sign from her idol, Nicki Minaj.

Bronx rapper Ice Spice is getting an unexpected boost from the Queen of rap, Nicki Minaj, who followed her on Instagram and showed the “Bikini Bottom” rapper love. The “Munch” rapper has long revealed that she is a Barb- a member of the Barbz. She seemed to turn down compliments from Minaj’s nemesis, Cardi B, shortly after her song “Munch” went viral, and in an interview, she chose Nicki over Cardi B.

On Monday, Nicki shared Ice Spice’s cover of Daze magazine on her Instagram Story where she wrote, “The people’s PRINCESS.” She also tagged the 23-year-old rapper and added, “Catch it.”

On Sunday, the rappers sparked reports of a pending collaboration after Minaj not only let Ice Spice know that she was following her music but also followed her.

“B**chs slow so I gih dem a pass. Nah. Grah! No more passes princess. Let’s go,” Minaj says quoting Ice Spice’s track “Princess Diana” off her debut EP Like…?.

Shortly after, Minaj also followed Ice Spice on Instagram. The interaction sparked excitement among fans of the two artists that they might be on the verge of collaborating on new music.

Fans previously felt that Ice Spice would likely collaborate with fellow Bronx rapper Cardi B after she shared a video on social media rapping along to her songs. Ice Spice didn’t respond to the endorsement from Cardi B and later shared that she was a huge Nicki Minaj fan in a separate interview. In an XXL mag interview, Ice Spice spoke about how New York rappers Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj are her biggest rap influences, especially Minaj, who was the first rapper she saw perform live.

“When I saw Nicki, I was so mesmerized,” she said in the interview. “She’s the first female rapper that I [saw]. And ever since then, I was kinda set on what I wanted to be.”

Ice Spice also shared that she appreciated how Minaj has continually shown support to Bronx rappers.

Some fans, in the meantime, have been calling for Minaj to sign Ice Spice to her label. The Bronx rapper is, however, signed to 10 Projects under a $3 million deal.

There’s no doubt that Ice currently has a buzz in hip hop for her catchy rhymes and being drop dead gorgeous. This co-sign from the biggest female rapper of all time will only help grow her fan base.

Lil Uzi Vert Doesn’t Believe In Satan, Addresses Lyrics About JT

Black Immigrant Daily News

Lil Uzi Vert says he doesn’t believe in Satan despite raising eyebrows with some song lyrics proclaiming otherwise.

Lil Uzi Vert is responding to the increasing backlash from fans and the hip-hop community after he said in a recent performance at Rolling Loud California that he believed in Satan and persuaded his girlfriend and City Girls rapper JT of the same.

Uzi was seen wearing a bright red suit and had pentagon shapes on his belt and hair and weirdly colored eye contact while seemingly mimicking a possessed person. In the track, there is a lyric, “I make a City Girl believe in Satan,” which made many of his own fans side-eye him.

The rapper has received much backlash from the Christian community as well as fellow artists like Summer Walker and G-Unit rapper Tony Yayo, but now he is backtracking and defending himself as just making music and art.

According to the rapper, the track was a preview for his upcoming album “Pink Tape,” set for release later this year. The rapper also denied that he believed in Satan but said that it was a way of speaking metaphorically. He did not go on to say what the meaning behind the lyrics was, but he did mention that JT was right there when the song was made.

“I just say whatever I want in my songs. It’s just like my freedom of speech,” Uzi told TMZ. “I come from a real religious household but I just like, me finding living my life and being, like, I guess ‘an adult,’ I kind of just say, you know, anything I want to say. Even if I offend people, I don’t mean to offend people but if they don’t like it, they have the option to turn it off.”

The City Girls rapper has not reacted to backlash despite hundreds of persons calling on her and Yung Miami to address the line.

The rapper also asserted he had a right to decide how he wanted his songs to sound and also seemingly responded to Yayo nothing that he had a religious upbringing and as an adult, he was free to explore whatever theme for his music and that the line was not what he believed in reality.

Last week, Summer Walker called out the rapper for the lyrics on her Instagram Story.

“I make a City Girl believe in Satan. I Be genuinely curious have these people ever seen or heard a demon before..? Or it’s just a trend cause I feel like if you have you’d stop playin..really nothing funny or cute about it. May God be with y’all [prayer emoji],” she wrote.

Yayo also said in an invited comment, “That was a little too crazy for me,” before adding, “I believe in God. I’m very religious, came up in the church, so anything that has to do with Satan I can’t rock with.”

Chrisean Rock Shuts Down Pregnant Doubters With Baby Bump Photos

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Chrisean Rock seemingly shut down doubters and naysayers, including her boyfriend Blueface, on Saturday as she showed off what appears to be her growing baby bump in a new photoshoot.

The ‘Crazy in Love’ cast member shared several photos of herself in an orange outfit- shorts with no underwear showing off what looks like another Blueface tribute tattoo and an oversized shirt that was unbuttoned to show off her stomach.

In December last year, Chrisean Rock claimed that she was pregnant following break-up rumors between her and Blueface. Many, including Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold, shared her thoughts publicly that she didn’t believe that Zeus reality TV star was pregnant.

Others also questioned whether she was pregnant, especially as Rock has been seen drinking and partying and even lifting heavy weights during her pregnancy. Her stomach appeared to protrude in the undated photos she posted on Saturday without a caption that no doubt left many comments and engagements as some felt they could see the blossoming pregnancy.

An eye-catching tattoo just above her pubic areas also caught the attention of her followers. The tattoo read, “Johnathan’s p*ssy,” adding to the almost half a dozen tattoos she already has of the “Thotiana” rapper.

In the meantime, fans also weighed in as they questioned if she was pregnant. “I believe it when she turn sideways or something. I don’t see a baby bump. I see her poking her stomach out,” one said. Another added, “Y’all want this girl to be pregnant sooo bad.. meanwhile she out here drinking and smoking.. smh.”

Rock and Blueface appear to be in a better place in recent weeks after her initial pregnancy announcement, in which Blueface denied being the father and accused her of being promiscuous.

He also said she had a substance abuse problem. “Alcohol isn’t her problem her mentality is her problem all you people on here making excuses for a lack of self-control an irrational behavior is contributing to the problem #accountability,” Blueface wrote on Twitter.

Blueface also denied that he was aggravating Rock and causing her to fight or have meltdowns.

“When she displays this type of irrational behavior on baddies or blue girls club you guys applaud an cheer but when it’s a different setting an it doesn’t look as good you guys want it to be everybody else fault this is how she carry herself with or without me,” he said.

Chrisean Rock, who also shared she was excited to be pregnant, showed herself on video asking medical personnel whether she would hear one or three heartbeats since she would like to have triplets since that’s how many she aborted in the past.

Bounty Killer Calls Mr. Vegas A ‘Clout Chaser’ Over Police Comments

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

The dancehall legend calls his musical nemesis a clout chaser in his clap back.

Bounty Killer is defending himself against serious allegations by Mr. Vegas that he encourages the killings of law enforcement officers in the country. Jamaica’s crime situation has posed a challenge for police, who say they are underpaid and overworked, but this has not stopped cops from attempting to keep things under control. Unlike other countries, cops are not targeted specifically for carrying out their job.

However, a video of a passionate Bounty Killer unleashing his anger on traffic cops led to Mr. Vegas calling the Prime Minister to investigate the artist for seemingly encouraging harm to officers.

On Saturday, the “Living Dangerously” artist shared a reminder that he is not an enemy of police or law and order and that he is always in support of the efforts of the police.

The artist shared a throwback photo with former National Security Minister Bobby Montague in which he and fellow artist Ninjaman supported the thrust of the ministry and the training of police officers on the island. Killer also called Mr. Vegas a clout chaser for commenting.

“Lonely b**ch did u tag the @jcf_recruitingoffice and show them this six years [ago] and remember u said that I’m a informer for motivating the security forces which even ur own brother is apart of that says a lot about a clout chaser,” the artist said.

Bounty Killer explained that his reaction was to perceived disrespect and harassment and not because he hated security forces.

“I’m a law abiding citizen and I ain’t taking no disrespect or undue harassment from nobody so if I outburst then something had happened simple.”

Bounty Killer and Ninjaman, who is currently incarcerated, unite for an anti-crime initiative in Jamaica in 2017 with then National Security Minister Bobby Montague.

The artist was seen on video this week cursing and directing angry words at cops that stopped him and his entourage on his way to his godson Angel Doolas’ son, Nicholas Douglas’s funeral.

“A dat unuh come fi do prosecute somebody? One likkle simple traffic stop yuh come yah fi prosecute somebody. Okay, a hope when unuh get execute unuh nuh bawl bout prosecute,” Bounty Killer seething with anger, said.

Mr. Vegas, who is currently feuding with the “Dead This Time” artist, reposted the video on his Instagram account and said Bounty was “encouraging the assassination of our lawmen.”

“You can’t f**ing make this up! A suh him powerful?” he added as he tagged Prime Minister Andrew Holness on the post.

Metro Boomin Shares What Young Thug Planning After Release From Jail

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Atlanta super producer Metro Boomin says he spoke to Young Thug recently, and the rapper appears confident he’ll be coming home soon, and he also had a message for his fans and followers.

Metro Boomin appears to be caught in a one-sided feud with DJ Akademiks on social media after the former asked that the embattled blogger not use anything about him for content on his account. DJ Akademiks appeared offended and refused to comply with the request. Following his rant on Twitter, he reposted a Story from Metro where the rapper spoke about talking to his friend, Young Thug, who is presently held at Cobb County jail, and his hope of being released soon.

“Talked to [spider emoji] today and jus kno when he touchdown the whole [world] gon feel it,” Metro posted.

Young Thug is presently incarcerated as part of a RICO trial involving him and a dozen others who are accused of committing crimes as a gang and that the rapper’s label, YSL, is a gang, not a music outfit. The trial began at the end of January (2023) and is still in the jury selection stage, with conclusion dates estimated to be months from now.

Despite Thug remaining steadfast in the trial, many of his co-defendants, including his brother Unfoonk and his protege, Gunna, and half a dozen others, all accepted plea deals to corroborate that YSL is a gang. The plea deals, which were all Alford pleas, allowed the defendants to plead guilty without admitting guilt, but many hip-hop fans have viewed the deals as nothing more than an effort to ensnare the big fish- Young Thug.

In the meantime, Metro Boomin and Thugger are close, with the producer sharing regular updates on his conversation with the artist.

While on Streetz is Watchin Radio in January, the producer said he believed that Thug was blessed and strong and he has faith he’ll be fine despite the serious charges he is facing.

“I be talking to him, he’s blessed man,” Metro said. “Anybody know Slime know he got a heart of gold but he got the heart of a warrior at the same time so like, he got his head up. And I pray for him every single day, even since everything first happened, I pray for him every single day.”

Metro Boomin continued, “Man that’s my brother I love him to death, and he done helped me a lot with a lot of stuff that I been going thru this past year. And on my faith, I’m confident that he’s gonna be alright.”
