Tammy Rivera Calls Diplo A Hater For Comment About Beyonce Grammy Win

Black Immigrant Daily News

Tammy Rivera has accused EDM Pop producer Diplo of being a “hater” after Beyoncé fans accused him of saying that the artist bought a Grammy award.

Beyoncé broke another record on Sunday as she won Best Electronic/Dance Album at the 65th Grammy awards ceremony. The moment marked another great milestone for Beyoncé, who earned a record-breaking 32 awards over her 22-year-old career and earned her the title of all-time awards champ of the Recording Industry Association of America.

Beyoncé’s fans celebrated the win, but many, including her husband, Jay-Z, felt that the artist was cheated out of another award- Album of the Year for her project, Renaissance. Fans online theorized that Beyoncé was cheated out of the award, and it seems that some felt that Diplo was one of those who hated to see the artist winning.

A video shared by a fan online showed the moment Beyoncé was named the winner of the EDM award, and the camera also showed Diplo mouthing something as he clapped for the singer. In the video, the fan interprets Diplo talking, “did he say they bought that?”.

Tammy Rivera also reacted to the video by writing on Instagram Story that Diplo was hating on Queen Bey. “If she bought that why not buy album of the year??? HATER,” she wrote along with the “congratulations” and the bee emoji.

Diplo was nominated for Best Dance/ Electronic Recording Grammy award for ‘” Don’t Forget My Love” and Best Dance/Electronic Music Album at this year’s award but did not win in either of the categories.

Despite the video, it seems that some fans felt that the producer was not being malicious as he previously worked with Beyoncé on several releases of her 2016 albums Lemonade and Run The World (Girls) in 2011.

“Some grown woman need to grow up he said I’m apart of that,” one fan wrote on Instagram.

“He said she broke that,” another said.

“That’s not an Edm record it should have not been in that category. Hence why he said they bought it,” another person wrote.

DDG Hints At Halle Bailey Breakup Delete Photos and Unfollowed Her On IG

Black Immigrant Daily News

Fans on social media think that rapper DDG and songstress Halle Bailey have broken up after he posted a cryptic but shady tweet categorizing all women as the same.

On Tuesday, they shared a tweet and deleted post that fans thought was directed to Halle Bailey. “All these girls the same [crying emoji] ain’t no way,” he wrote. Fans immediately speculated that things were not well with the young couple, who began dating around March last year and were seen out on dates around the summer.

DDG and Halle confirmed their relationship with her sister Chloe Bailey blushing in an Essence interview back in October last year as she shared that she was in love with the “Elon Musk” artist.

“I’ve been a fan of his for years. I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them. He was one of them,” Hall said about DDG, whom she took notice of in 2015.

“I completely forgot about him… then I saw that he was dropping music, and I really gravitated toward this one song. Coincidentally he messaged me—and the rest is history,” she said, smiling.

Well, fans think that the romance is ending faster than it started as they shared that DDG had unfollowed Hall on Instagram, and he has also deleted all of the photos of them shared over the past year.

On the other hand, Halle continues to follow DDG. Some fans speculated that DDG could be pulling an extreme prank, as usual, for his YouTube account. Neither artist has confirmed or denied the news, and as fans try to piece together what happened, there is very little to make sense of since the couple appeared happy together up to this point.

The couple was not seen together at the recent Grammy Awards, but they were spotted at several important events over the last year, including the BET awards and several functions like an Usher concert for his Las Vegas residency last year.

Rapper Eminem’s daughter Hailie Jade is all grown up, and if there is any indication of how old we are getting, the news that she is engaged and set to tie the knot soon will surely drive the point home.

Hailie became well known due to her father rapper about her in his songs and talking about his motivations as a father. Hailie Jade is now 27 years old, and she and her boyfriend Evan McClintock became engaged recently, she shared on Instagram. Hailie shared the news about the proposal on Monday, along with a carousel of photos from the romantic moment that Evan popped the big question.

Evan was seen on one knee as both smiled from ear to ear. The couple was seen enjoying champagne while decked out in warm winter gear after the proposal. Hailie also shared a photo of the diamond with a very simple message to recap the events.

“Casual weekend recap,” she wrote along with “i love you” as she tagged her fiancé and the tossing in emojis.

Hailie and Evan are said to have been dating in 2016, and her father also seems to know the young man as he was seen in some throwback family photos shared by Hailie.

Eminem wasn’t seen in the engagement photos, but the rapper has often spoken about fatherhood and shared that he was a proud dad, especially since his daughter continues to make him proud.

“Hailie is 23, no babies, she has a boyfriend, but she’s doing good, she’s made me proud for sure, she’s graduated from college,” Eminem said in a 2020 sitdown with Mike Tyson on Hot Boxin.

In the meantime, fans of Eminem were sure to react to the engagement news. “Now to wait for Slim Shady’s response,” one person said.

“Did he pass the freestyle test tho,” another said. “Wonder if he asked the goat,” another asked.

The Detroit rapper has not publicly reacted, but he has always been very private with his family life outside of rap music.

Kendrick Lamar’s Daughter Melt Hearts Reacting To His Grammy Speech

Black Immigrant Daily News

Kendrick Lamar highlighted his family while accepting the award for Best Rap Album for his project, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, and his daughter had the best reaction as she watched her father accept the award from home while dressed up in her fancy gown.

On Sunday night, the rapper took home the coveted Best Rap Album Grammy award for the third time, having previously won in 2016 for his album, To Pimp a Butterfly and the 2018 project Damn. The artist also won big on Grammy night as he took home the Best Rap Song and “Best Rap Performance Grammys for his track, “The Heart Part 5”.

The artist had a brief acceptance speech which began by thanking his family, and his fiancée Whitney Alford shared a sweet video of his three-year-old daughter reacting to her father’s words.

“First and foremost, I want to thank my family for giving me the courage and vulnerability to share these stories and share my truth with this album,” he said.

“Daddy,” she says as she sees her father on the television.

“They’re talking about us, he’s talking about us, he’s talking about his family,” she sweetly says as she lists out the names of herself, her brother, and her mother making up their ‘family.’

The artist’s Grammy-winning album featured his daughter and son being held by him and his fiancée on the cover. Kendrick Lamar, 34, and Alford, 36, have been dating since high school.

The album cover was a surprise for many who were unaware that the rapper had children, while for some, it was the first time seeing them.

The album was also one of his most vulnerable yet as he revealed in one of the songs, “Mother I Sober,” that he had a “lust addiction,” and cheated on his fiancée, who was also his high school sweetheart.

As artists… we say things to provoke thoughts and feelings, and emotions.  “Making this record was one of my toughest albums to make,” he said in his acceptance speech as he thanked “the culture” for allowing him to express himself and “evolve” in the song “Mother I Sober.”

Cardi B Scolds Offset and Quavo Backstage The Grammys Amid Altercation

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Cardi B was not with the shenanigans as tensions ran high between Offset and Quavo while backstage at the Grammys on Sunday night.

Entertainment Report (ET) shared cell phone footage of Cardi B screaming at Quavo and Offset backstage on Sunday. There are reports that the two artists fought backstage at the Grammys over the In Memoriam tribute to Takeoff.

Offset had denied that there was a fight on Monday, writing on Twitter, “What tf [it] look like fighting my brother [y’all] n—s is crazy.”

The video, however, seems to suggest differently. In the video, Cardi B can be heard shouting while people mill around. “Both of y’all wrong, both of y’all. This is not right,” Cardi is heard shouting. She also addressed someone, telling them, “no, b**ch shut the f— up cuz you shouldn’t be talking.”

Cardi B also played off the incident when asked on camera whether she was settling something backstage. “The only thing I settled is my outfit, honey, haha,” a bubbly Cardi said.

Quavo and Offset reportedly fought over Offset being added to the In Memoriam tribute to honor Takeoff on Sunday night. The artist was shot and killed on November 1, 2022, and his family has been grieving and struggling to come to terms with his death, especially Offset and Quavo, who was to perform his tribute track “Without You.”

TMZ first reported that the two rappers had a tussle backstage, with Quavo blocking Offset from going on stage. The report did say that Offset tried to avoid the fight with Quavo, who eventually performed alone on stage.

The rapper was emotional as he performed the track that was released earlier this month. In the meantime, Quavo has not addressed the incident, but Offset denied that the he fought with his fellow Migos at the Grammys.

Offset Addresses Rumored Fight With Quavo At The Grammys

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Offset has stepped forward to address shocking reports that he and Quavo had a fight at the 2023 Grammy Awards over a tribute performance to Takeoff.

Urban Islandz reported that Quavo was billed on the show’s lineup to perform a tribute to late Migos member Takeoff. Offset was never named as a part of that tribute, and Quavo did his thing on Sunday night. Fast forward to Monday morning, TMZ reported that the two living Migos members had an altercation at the Grammys and had to be pulled apart moments before the tribute performance.

While Quavo has remained silent since the report came out, Offset is making it clear that he would never fight his brother.

“What tf look like fighting my brother yal ni—s is crazym,” Set tweeted.

Offset tweet

To be clear, there is no video footage out to corroborate the alleged fight, just word of mouth, and TMZ has not reported anything further since the initial report. In the meantime, Honcho’s tribute performance was well-received by the Grammy audience and viewers watching the ceremony.

Takeoff was shot and killed on November 1, 2022, while standing at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas. According to reports, he was an innocent bystander who was shot following a verbal altercation between Quavo and other men over a dice game. J. Prince’s son, J. Prince Jr., was present at the dice game and has been blamed by fans of the late rapper for having something to do with his death.

The police’s primary suspect, Patrick Clark, was since been arrested and was granted a $1 million bond posted by an anonymous individual. He is currently awaiting trial on murder charges which he reportedly said was self-defense.

Despite showing unity at Takeoff’s funeral, Quavo and Offset appear to still have some things to work through before having the close relationship they once had. They haven’t been spotted together since the funeral in Atlanta in November last year.

Latto Accidentally Show Tattoo Off 21 Savage Name Amid Dating Rumors

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Latto has inadvertently confirmed that she and 21 Savage are dating despite him denying that he is in a celebrity relationship in the past.

On Saturday, the “Big Energy” artist was seen in a video showing off her haircare routine as she got her long brown tresses washed, blown out, and styled. However, eagle-eyed fans spotted the red tattoo behind her left ear, which spelled out Savage’s government name ‘Sheyaa.’

The video was shared on Latto’s Reels page, and fans are convinced that they are indeed dating. The rapper shared details about her hair care routine at the salon Slayology Studio in Atlanta last month.

The rapper’s fans and followers have been cutting up under the Reels, but Latto has not addressed questions and comments from fans. She later removed the video, and it’s understood why, as she and 21 Savage has gone to lengths to keep their relationship under wraps.

It’s suspected that they have been dating for the last two years, but neither has been spotted together publicly or confirmed the relationship. Latto has generated a lot of interest in her love life, especially as she shared photos and videos of her glamorous gifts and vacations.

The sighting of her tattoo also comes amid recent statements Latto made about her relationship dynamic while on Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 radio with J Nicks.

“If it’s yours, go crazy,” she said. “I got the [Cor]vette, I got the Lam[borghini], I got the Birkins, I got the Heart. I don’t pay no bills. If he comin’ like that, then yeah,” she said about her boyfriend.

The rapper was also asked about her partner paying her bills. one cl”I don’t pay no bills!” she reiterated. “That’s how it’s supposed to be, though. If he comin’ right, he comin’ right.”

Latto did not confirm who her boyfriend was, and 21 Savage has also not addressed who his girlfriend is. The Her Loss rapper last month denied that he had a celebrity relationship while on Clubhouse in December 2022.

“I don’t do all the antics and sh**. I don’t got a celebrity girlfriend,” he said. “I’m not finna be out everywhere. I’m not dropping music every other week. I’m not going on [Instagram] Live talking about niggas every other week.”

Meek Mill Reacts To DJ Drama Claiming Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Just Wanna Rock’ Replaced ‘Dreams And Nightmares’ As Philly Anthem

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

DJ Drama seems to be starting another beef as he claims that Lil Uzi Vert has replaced Meek Mill after the former’s song was used as the Eagles’ anthem at the team’s last game.

Lil Uzi ran onto the field along with the Philadelphia Eagles team ahead of their winning game on Sunday, and Drama stirred the pot as he suggested that Meek Mill, who was previously associated with the team and whose music was played in prior games, has been replaced by Uzi.

“You did see Lil Uzi Vert bring out the Eagles to victory against the 49ers with ‘Just Wanna Rock. I think it’s fair to say that ‘I Just Wanna Rock’ has replaced—with all due respect—’Dreams and Nightmares’ as the new anthem of Philadelphia, as the new anthem of the Philadelphia Eagles this year,” DJ Drama said in an impromptu interview with TMZ.

“I’m looking forward to hearing that song many, many times [throughout] Super Bowl weekend,” he added.

Meek Mill’s 2012 track “Dreams and Nightmares” was used by the Eagles throughout their Super Bowl championship chase in 2018 and has been regarded as a Philly sports anthem as it rallied state patriotism to back the powerful NFL team.

Meek Mill also responded to Drama on Thursday night, seemingly not bothered by the comparisons made by DJ Drama.

“Intro been lighting the world for 10 years! Like shaking rooms for years!” he wrote on Twitter.

Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock” was released last October under DJ Drama’s Generation Now label and peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That could explain why he has high hopes for the track.

In the meantime, the Philadelphia Eagles is one to watch, with fans expecting that the team could walk away with the Super Bowl LVII championship title.

Lil Wayne Shares His Mother Asks Him To Become A Father At 14

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Lil Wayne revealed that his mother had pushed him to have his first child at 14 years old because she was lonely after he moved out and pursued a career in rap music.

Lil Wayne was honored on Thursday night by the Recording Academy with the Global Impact Award at the Black Music Collective’s BMC honors. The rapper became very emotional as DJ Khaled introduced him and recognized him for his contributions to music and his global impact on younger generations of artists who aspire to him.

“I must thank everybody here. I appreciate y’all for staying here,” the rapper said as he called out the Grammys and Recording Academy for naming him for the prestigious award.

Wayne was visibly emotional as he shared that the life circumstances he encountered stacked the odds against him, including forcing him to make life-changing decisions at a very early age.

“I want y’all to know that I don’t get honours. Where I’m from, New Orleans, you not supposed to do this. Where I’m from, I walked into my mama room, I was 14. She asked me for a kid because my dad was killed and her son had just blew up and went on his first tour and we did not know that b**ch was gonna be six months,” he said.

The rapper spoke of the burden he carried at a very young age as he recognized the mother of his first child, Antonia ‘Toya’ Johnson, who, at 15 years old, gave birth to his daughter Reginae Carter when he was just 16.

Reginae Carter

“When I came home, she said ‘son, I can’t live in this house by myself, we gon have to figure something out,” Wayne said.

The rapper thanked his mother, friends Mac Mayne and Cortex Bryan, along with his friends at Cash Money Records, who helped him to achieve his dreams.

Lil Wayne was signed to Cash Money Records at 12 years old and put out his first album at 13 years old. The rapper previously shared that his mother had reluctantly supported him to quit school to focus on his career when he was 14 years old because he was passionate about music and becoming a rapper.

“I had an album out. I was platinum already, thank god, and I was still trying to go to regular public school and she stopped me from getting ready for school one day. She was walking past the room, I’ll never forget she was on the phone with somebody talking loud and she walked past my room and she saw me putting my bag on my back and she said, ‘You going to bring that to school with you?’ and I remember I asked her, ‘You don’t want me to bring it?’ and she thought about it and said, ‘I do’.”

“Two minutes later she walked back into the room and she was still on the phone and said, ‘You don’t go to school no more, you’re getting a GED (General Educational Development certificate).’ I said okay. So I got a GED and went to college,” he added.

The rapper was emphatic when he ended his speech, noting that New Orleans rappers don’t get enough credit but also shared his gratitude to those who helped his career, “I ain’t shit without you.”
