Konshens joins a handful of Jamaican artists with more than 1 billion streams worldwide.

The dancehall Superstar is celebrating a new milestone as he recently entered the billion streams club. The “Gal A Bubble” artist received a plaque commemorating the achievement. A statement from Konshens’ publicist said that he amassed over a billion streams worldwide, comprising mainly of YouTube and Spotify streams.

The achievement is even more impressive as other platforms like Apple Music, Tidal, and Amazon were not in the tally. The artist recently concluded his sold-out European Tour, where he headlined several major Reggae, Afro, and Latino music festivals. Konshens also popped up at mainstream European clubs to perform and meet and greet fans.

The artist says he’s grateful for the continued support from fans and promised to continue making music for the fans.

“I’m happy to reach such a milestone and thankful to have great fans that love my music across the globe,” Konshens said in a press released sent to Urban Islandz. “I’m very much aware that there’s a long way to go and the legends I look up to are my daily reminders. I’m just looking forward to what’s next and where my talent and love for this music will take me next.”

Konshens recently released his fifth studio album, Red Reign, an 18-track multi-genre project featuring Stefflon Don, Spice, Rvssian, Kemar Highcon, Jesse Royal, Dre Island, Rafa Pablön, and Kaelyn Kastle. Released in November 2021, the project debuted at #1 on the iTunes Reggae album chart and was the product of his journey into introspection during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the meantime, fans can keep up with the artist through his latest single, “Gyal Time Again,” featuring Charly Black.

The artist also teased that he is gearing up to drop more exciting new singles and collaborations across multi-genres. He is also preparing for Pinknick in Antigua after recently performing in Toronto (Canada), where he headlined back-to-back sold-out nights at Toronto Jerk Fest.

Konshens burst onto the dancehall scene in 2005 and has gone on to cement his name in the industry as a true icon in Dancehall, Reggae, and the global music fraternity.

He has previously performed with artists Chris Brown, Cardi B, Doja Cat, Major Lazer, Chainsmokers, Sean Paul, Rick Ross, Nipsey Hussle, Ty Dolla Sign, E40, Enrique Iglesias, Rvssian, Nicky Jam, Farruko, and many other.

The artist is well-known for his hits like “Bruk Off” and 2017’s “Turn Me On,” to name a few, which all helped him to elevate Dancehall and Jamaican music to the world.

Black Immigrant Daily News

T.I. has been honored by his native state Georgia for his outstanding community service. Yesterday, August 10, the rapper was presented with an Outstanding Georgia Citizen Award by Rep. Debra Bazemore (D-GA) at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta.

T.I.’s wife of over ten years, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris, along with his sons Domani and Messiah, were also present at the special ceremony showing their support as the rapper received the accolade for his numerous philanthropic efforts.

“In the grand scheme of things, we are only here on Earth in this life for a short period of time, and once we leave, people won’t remember the clothes we wore or the things we have. We will only be remembered by what we meant to our family, our children and what we were able to do for others,” T.I said during his acceptance speech.

That was just one of the awards he would be honored with on the day as the “Live Your Life” rapper also received the Volunteer’s Achievement Lifetime Award. That award was given to him by the Global International Alliance on behalf of President Joe Biden.

The award was granted in recognition of the rapper’s stellar effort of 4,000 hours of community service to the United States.

Following the ceremony, the rapper took to Instagram to express his gratitude for receiving the various accolades. He shared that he spent years grinding and fighting to do his best for his community, and he also admitted that he often felt no one cared, noticed, or appreciated his efforts, intentions, or sacrifices.

Receiving the recognition showed him that he is indeed blessed to have his efforts seen, he added. He also thanked President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for taking the time to recognize his tireless efforts.

In another post, he added, “Thank God for @rep.debrabazemore63 @ambassadorpeterson @joebiden @vp & everyone else who had a hand in making this possible.”

That post attracted the attention of his colleagues in the industry, including 2 Chainz, Ludacris, and Rapsody, who all posted positive comments congratulating Tip on getting some deserved recognition.

The rapper is well known for taking an active role in his community and trying to help youth with proper guidance. He’s also been outspoken about the issues facing his community, especially as it pertains to gun violence.

Last year, he purchased his old neighborhood in Bankhead and announced that he planned to build a new affordable housing development with 143 units, a community garden, a community center, and a greenhouse.

Through organizations like Harris Community Works and For the Love of Our Fathers, he continues to give back in the hope that those who need help can receive it in a safe environment.

Tina Knowles-Lawson Defends Beyoncé From Critics Of ‘Renaissance’ Album

Black Immigrant Daily News

Tina Knowles-Lawson issued a strong defense of her daughter Beyonce amid criticism over her new album, Renaissance.

According to Lawson, Beyonce is the hardest working person she knows and has witness first hand her grind over the last two years to put together this album. The music icon has been getting flack from all corners of the music spectrum including from fellow singer Kelis over a sample she did not know was coming.

“I’ve watched for over two years all of the constant hard work, the sacrifice sometimes of time with her family, the all night sessions, working while sick, weekends and then nurturing three kids,” Tina Knowles wrote. “She minds her own business and does not speak badly of anyone, never puts anyone down, Is always loyal and kind. Takes care of her bussiness don’t mess with nobody. So I am proud of you.”

Meanwhile, the Lemonade artist on Friday shared her gratitude to her fans for waiting patiently for the official release of her seventh studio album Renaissance even though leaks of the album were available online and across social media platforms.

The album was officially released on Friday, and the artist wasted no time commending her dedicated ‘BeyHive’ for being faithful and loyal as they waited for the official release from the artist to support her.

On her Instagram account, she shared a message expressing her deep gratitude for fans who waited on the project. It’s been six years since Beyoncé released a solo album.

“So, the album leaked, and you all actually waited until the proper release time so you all can enjoy it together. I’ve never seen anything like it,” she said as she publicly acknowledged the leak for the first time.

“I can’t thank y’all enough for your love and protection. I appreciate you for calling out anyone that was trying to sneak into the club early,” the artist continued. Beyoncé also added to her fans, “I love you deep.”

In the meantime, fans online reacted with mixed reviews, but many of the artist’s loyal fans raved about the album calling it Album of the Year.

“I hope artists are taking note from Beyoncé, hoping they’re scraping whatever it is they had and going to the drawing board,” one person wrote on Twitter.

“Beyoncé is literally the only celebrity that grabs my attention in the way she does. Everyone else I’m just like oooo nice new album how fun, but nobody could take up my entire weekend!” another person.

“Beyoncé is in a category, class and race all by herself. #RENAISSANCE,” another person said.

Nelly Clowns Irv Gotti During Ashanti’s Surprise Performance

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Nelly didn’t missed the opportunity to take a dig at Irv Gotti.

The rapper and Ashanti hit the stage to perform their hit single “Body On Me” at the Oakland Arena in California on Friday night, and fans think their appearance together was to send a message to Irv Gotti. Nelly and Ashanti have not been particularly close since their breakup, and even their appearance at Fat Joe and Ja Rule’s Verzuz last year was a bit awkward for the couple.

However, it seems that the former couple is cordial as they performed “Body On Me,” showing off their old chemistry. The song was released in 2008 and features Akon (who was not present for the performance).

While the couple seemed to enjoy performing together, fans think that the couple’s appearance is to troll Irv Gotti, who said this week on Drink Champs that he was “hurt” when he found out that Ashanti was dating Nelly. The Murder Inc boss said he was in love with Ashanti as he insinuated that the two of them were involved in some kind of tryst, although he was married at the time.

Ashanti and Irv Gotti have not been on good terms, especially since she asked for the masters of her music. He has refused to hand them over despite making millions off of her, and he is also unhappy that she is seeking to record over her music so she can have full ownership.

Ashanti and Nelly dated for more than ten years before breaking up in 2014.

On Twitter, fans reacted to the former couple being on stage together.

“I know Irv somewhere fighting air seeing Nelly and Ashanti perform together,” one person wrote.

“Is this and the thing about him seeing Nelly and Ashanti together all from one interview or is this dude obsessed and talking about her all the time? I really need him to move on and seek therapy,” another person said.

“So Nelly and Ashanti performed together at his recent show. country grammar wins again lol somebody check on irv,” another person said.

In the meantime, Irv’s Drink Champs interview appears to be a venting session instead of therapy, as he gets angry when talking about Ashanti’s music and her effort’s to re-record her album.

According to him, Ashanti wants to cheat him out of the monies he earns from royalties from her music. Based on what Gotti says, it’s clear that although he claims to have worked on her music, he and Ashanti do not share the royalties as he has all of the ownership.

“Lucy and Grange weren’t in the studio with you making those records, I made those Ashanti records, oh I made those records,” he tells Nore. “Like She wrote them but she wrote them with the help of me telling her what to write,” he said.

Irv goes on to say that he ‘helped’ to make the records, and he tries to explain why he has 100% ownership of the records, although if he helped, it would be fair business practice to ensure that all the persons who helped earn from the records.

“I don’t lie. I helped make those records so I own them. I never sign my artists to 360 deals, I never said give me some of your show money… I never did that, I feel I was always very good to my artist,” he said.

However, Ja Rule, who was on the show with Irv Gotti, interjects to remind him to be fair as 360 deals never existed at the time, which contradicts Gotti’s statement about being good to artists.

“Let me make this statement, artists have ways of getting money, Rule makes a lot of money from shows, Ashanti makes a lot of money doing shows so what’s left for the guys doing the records, how do I make money? How I make money out of this is the masters so how am I supposed to feel when you remove that aspect, you really saying you don’t want sonny, JJ and Angie, my beautiful kids, you don’t want them to eat,” he says.

Although Gotti says if Ashanti gets to re-record her label, it would take away money from his children, elsewhere in the interview, he boasts about funding a $250 million documentary on Murder Inc as he again becomes obsessively angry at Ashanti for refusing to be a part of the documentary.

Ashanti is seeking to re-record her album under the cover laws, but Gotti says she would need the stems of the tracks to do that, and he is not going to give them to her.

“Ashanti I’m not falling for the banana in the tailpipe. This is where it’s going. She’s been performing for 20 years and she’s never asked for her stems. This is what happened, she went in the studio and tried to re-do ‘baby, baby, baby.’ She probably went in the studio, tried to and fell drastically short with people saying that don’t stand like what they did. So you want me to give you my stems of your whole album now after 20 years, you say you need it for shows, you want to take my stems and now you will be able to remake your f*****g album,” he says, raising his voice.

“When she’s on the shows and she says she will ‘spritz it up and jazz it up’, Ashanti you cannot spritz it or or jazz it up, the minute you spritzy it up and jazz it up it’s not a cover now it has to come back to me to clear it… If you change anything, it reverts back to the writers to clear it, let me just give you the answer right now, NO!” he shouts.

“NO!” so it’s up to you and whatever bullshit players and musicians you have to recreate the magic…” Gotti says.

Ashanti has not responded to Gotti’s interview. She had previously stated her album was to drop in February of this year, but that time has passed with no explanation, although Irv Gotti’s statements reveal the real reason Ashanti’s album hasn’t been ready.

Popcaan Paid JM$22 Million For Kingston Fest Says Promoter, Popcaan Respond

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Popcaan denies claims by Kingston Music Fest promoter that he was provided with private jet and paid JM$22 million for his performance.

A man who says he is the promoter for the Kingston Music Festival is responding to Popcaan’s criticism at the show on Sunday. In an interview with Brandon Gonez, the organizer Dwayne Hines responded to Popcaan calling out the organizers for the shoddy organization of the show. The Toronto music festival went viral for all the wrong reasons on Tik Tok as partygoers say that they bought VIP tickets for $250 but wanted a refund after the fence that separated VIP and general was torn down.

Additionally, the concert experience has been described as the worst by some Tik Tokers, who said that the sound was not playing in the middle and back of the festival and that water, chasers, and other things were not available despite the sweltering heat.

Patrons also complain that they could not bring umbrellas or raincoats into the venue despite thunderstorm being in the forecast for the day of the festival.

Popcaan had criticized the show, noting he only performed because he didn’t want to disappoint fans.

“Hear mi a say now, yuh zeet, to the promotion team fi da concert ya now, make me talk to oonu clear. A lot of my fans vex and angry because the promotion ah f***kery So hear wha now, yuh see when yuh book superstar pon show make sure oonu fix every bumbo***t thing, right, you hear that!” the dancehall artist said.

The artist added, “Listen to me again! you see all a dem hardworking, independent people yah, weh pay dem money for da bumboo***t show ya, Oonu disappoint them and disappoint me. If a never fi them mi gah mi yard, and oonu fi know that.”

“Fix up oonu bumbo***t self,” Popcaan concluded.

Hines has taken offense to the statements by Popcaan as he tried to drag the artist for being seemingly ungrateful for past bookings.

“We weren’t going to address this but one of the situations, and I am addressing this as not only has worked with Popcaan but has provided Popcaan with his first visa ever to enter into Canada many years ago when he performed at Sound Academy… Second time when he performed at Rebel and third time when he performed with Spice…We have given Popcaan his Canadian opportunities many many times,” the alleged promoter claimed.

Hines also claimed that he sponsored Popcaan’s jet and paid the artist a sizable amount of money, US$150,000, roughly JM$22 million to be exact. Instead of taking accountability for the problems that took place at the festival, Hines lashes out at Popcaan for “riling” up the concertgoers.

“Now when you pay an artist $150,000 US which is 22.5 million JMD… provided him with a private jet to get here, to tell him as the main artist and he’s riling the crowd up to give, to ask for refund and to blame the producers which wasn’t our fault,” he said.

He added, “are you going to give up your performance money that you got paid? Remember we have to pay our staff, who 550 staff, are we going to take back their pay because you riled up consumers to get a refund? You can’t do that. They have to feed their family the same way you took that money to feed your family or your friends in Jamaica.”

Popcaan Instagram

Popcaan also responded to Hines immediately after the clip with the remarks going viral as he noted he didn’t know who that person is and noted that he paid for his jet.

“Whoever you be…guh s*ck yuh mumma p***y!!! You provide jet fi who!! P***y a me get me own jet and pay for it out of my pocket. Guh s*ck out yuh mada and stop try pretty up things likkle f**,” Popcaan wrote.

Kingston Music Festival promoter says no to refund

Elsewhere in the interview, Hines said there will be no refunds for partygoers since there was damage to the fences, which caused the sound system to fail.

Videos of partygoers pushing down a flimsy fence in the general section to get into VIP have gone viral, and while many attendees called out the festival for the lax security measures, Hines says that fans were “excited” to be at the event.

Throughout his 20-minute interview, Hines does not acknowledge any blame on the part of the promoters and organizers as he noted that the crowd was “too excited.”

He also said that other venues had denied the hosting of Kingston Music Festival, but he did not state the reason but claimed that venues in Toronto were “discriminating” against “our culture.”

“Wow how did this happen when we put everything in place, was the crowd too excited?” he questioned. “Do we need to change the venues? And then we say do we put an event like this in a Budweiser stage, do we put an event like this in Scotiabank? But it’s hard to convince these venues that our culture deserve these venues and it’s weird when I say this because it’s true, we tried.”

He added that they were forced to host the event at North York after being denied to host it elsewhere.

As for the other concerns, Hines does not apologize for anything going wrong, including the alleged traffic jams caused by the event, the empty bars leading to people fainting, or the late start to the show.

He, however, says the problems were caused by the crowd who pushed down the fence, causing the fiber optic cables to be cut.

Meanwhile, online, partygoers reacted to the statements by Hines, with the host Gonez pointing out that he attended the event but did not notice the number of security guards that the organizer claims were there.

Patrons have been reacting online, with most demanding a refund.

“Pure excuses…absolutely no accountability for NOTHING! The show was NOT delivered. Unacceptable man,” one person wrote.

“If you can kindly share the business name so we can avoid supporting people who do not take accountability. I don’t want to put my money in a brand like this black or white,” another fan said.

“The audio issues began way before the fence take down. I arrived 2:30 – 3 pm and the microphone kept going in and out. We couldn’t hear the full performances for the majority of the artists,” another person said.

Another patron also counteracted Hines’ claims that his business group Kingston Group Inc hosted successful events in the past.

“I went to that festival at Woodbine where they had Mavado and Alkaline. It was the same outcome. That event wasn’t flawless the artists almost didn’t come out because the lack of proper security. Just hold the lose and give people back their money smh!”

Meanwhile, some fans defended Popcaan.

“Very disappointed with Dwayne Hinds’ response to the chaos,” one fan wrote. “He took no responsibility and blamed the patrons. They should boycott all his future event. Plus he had the nerve to belittle Popcaan by making it seem he’s responsible for his international success. Very distasteful. He didn’t help the situation….”

Hines’ interview has gone viral, with partygoers expressing outrage at his statements.

The promoter says that patrons will get “compensation” by attending many more of Kingston Group Inc’s festivals in the future.

“What we’d like to do is that we want to celebrate our success on delivering the festival. We want to apologize that we could not deliver the festival to the standards to create such a success that we wanted but the success is that Toronto you stood by us, you waited until the last minute, until all the technical issues and everything were solved and you were still there, with your cell phone lights on, to ensure that Popcaan had the largest audience that he ever performed in in North America,” Hines said.

Shenseea and Skillibeng also performed at the event.

Chrisean Rock & Blueface Responds To His Mother ‘Prostitution’ Accusation

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Blueface is in a heated feud with his mother who accused him of “prostituting” Chrisean Rock.

When you’re a rapper, keeping your business private is difficult, even if it’s a personal family business. The most recent example is Blueface and his mother, Karlissa Safford, getting into it on social media in the wee hours this morning (August 9).

It all started after the rapper’s mom claimed that he was pimping out Chrisean Rock. A claim he has since denied vehemently. The “Stop Cappin” rapper took to Instagram to not only deny the allegations but to try and explain his mother’s behavior.

“I don’t even know that lady anymore I lost her to the internet. she just want to be known to get her hair done for free. she ain’t even aloud to see her grandkids cuz she lost herself to instagram an nobody want to be ina mix with her,” part of his message read.

Now, it seems that Chrisean Rock herself has jumped into the mix and also condemned Safford’s statement, even though it was for a different reason. According to her, Safford does not care about Blueface. She made the statement just a few days after the rapper gifted Jaidyn Alexis a new chain, so it seems she has no reason to lie.

Chrisean Rock also supported Blueface’s claim that his mom is looking for social media attention and couldn’t care less about her son.

“Everybody folded on a real one. He’s hard to heal cuz of you… you supposed to be da mova but instead u turned into a stranger y’all pride got in y’all way you didn’t know how stay genuine,”

She added that she believed that his mother was feeding off his pain for clout and that the “Thotiana” rapper doesn’t even realize how much trauma he’s going through because of her. She added that she hoped that Blueface would wake up and love the people in his life who actually love him.

Even though she had a positive message for him, she also made sure that she got a shot in with Blueface welcoming a new child with Jaidyn Alexis and the chain he gave her.

Safford also sought to give her side of things which started by taunting Blueface as she called him a poor baby who she said she suspected was going soft.

Further in the response, she continues to throw shade at the rapper as she adds that he was supposed to be a gangster. Her post was also splattered with crying and laughing emojis.

She goes as far as to even tell the rapper to suck it up and focus on his game instead of the drama as she added, “If you can’t see the pass run the ball yourself. Money turned you into a follower! Ain’t no guarantee this weirdo ain’t going to fumble it just like you did then you gonna be sitting there looking stupid.”

On Monday, August 8, Safford not only claimed that Rock was being prostituted but that someone had sent Rock back to Blueface knowing that she would be in harm’s way. Among her claims was that Rock would eventually get knocked out by the rapper when things got too volatile.

She also compared their relationship to the unfortunate one between Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. It’s sad to see so much dirty laundry airing out on social media, and this one doesn’t look like it will be resolved anytime soon.

NBA YoungBoy Joins Drake As Only Artists With 4 billion Streams In 2022 So Far

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

NBA Youngboy has reached another milestone in his career as he crossed the 4 billion streams threshold for 2022.

He is now the only artist alongside Drake to have reached 4 billion streams for this year, beating out many seasoned artists like Kanye West, The Weeknd, and others. The 22-year-old’s streams come mainly from his massive following in the United States, as his global streaming numbers are still very low.

The rapper, who released his fourth studio album, ‘The Last Slimeto’ over the weekend, is also experiencing another milestone as his album earned the top album debut on both global and US Spotify this weekend, according to Chart Data. One track from that album, “Free Dem 5’s,” also debuted No. 1 on the global Apple Music singles chart on Saturday.

The album, which has 30 new tracks, features artists Quavo, Rod Wave, and Kehlani.

Last week, the Recording Industry Association of America announced YoungBoy also broke another record with 100 certified gold and platinum titles.

The rapper’s accomplishment covered singles and albums where he is the lead artist, which proved that he is the dominant force behind his record streaming numbers.

Just days before the RIAA announcement, YoungBoy also shared that he has renewed his label deal with Atlantic for a cool $60 million. Atlantic had initially offered the rapper $25 million, a jump from the $2 million they had initially offered him for his first deal. However, the rapper had said in an Akademiks interview that he was not interested in any deal from Atlantic unless it was $100 million.

It’s a series of back-to-back wins for the Louisiana rapper, who was found not guilty last month for felony firearms charges in Los Angeles in a 2021 incident. He was facing 7-10 years in jail, but the judge found the prosecution’s evidence insufficient to link the rapper to the gun in question, although it was found in his car.

Fans Chant Boo During Shenseea & Skillibeng Sets At Kingston Fest Over Sound Problems

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Fans started booing during Skillibeng and Shenseea’s sets at Kingston Music Festival on Sunday in Toronto as the pair separately performed at the event marred by sound problems.

The two artists caught flack from fans due to the disorganization by the event organizers, who have been accused of not putting proper security measures in place, leading to patrons pushing down a fence separating general admission from the VIP section. To be clear, the problems were not of the artistes fault but appears to be on the part of the event producers.

A video shared on Tik Tok users showed the fence falling and patrons getting trampled on as others behind ran into the VIP section was separated by a large space. There were also light and sound issues during Shenseea and Skillibeng’s performance leading to fans not hearing them.

On Tik Tok, a user shared a video showing fans at the back chanting “we can’t hear, we can’t hear,” while the two artists were on the stage. “I wanted to see Skillibeng so bad and could barely hear him. They need to apologize to him Rs and Shenseea too,” one person said.

Another woman who vented about the event claimed that it was highly disorganized to the point that the sound engineer took three hours to get to the venue to fix the sound, and he was only able to fix it in time for Popcaan’s performance.

“Coming there at 6 o clock, the event started at 1 o clock, there is no water, no chasers… you couldn’t have sent one of your bartenders to go to Walmart to pick up some water? It’s one of the hottest days of the summer,” the woman vented.

“Mans can’t hear, Skillibeng, Big international artist Skillibeng, Popcaan, Shenseea and Chronic Law – the man Chronic Law came for the first time to Toronto and this is how you treat him? You put your guests at risk,” the woman said.

A video of Skillibeng on stage was also disrupted by patrons who boo’ed the artist off the stage.

“Toronto boo’ed Skillibeng off the stage because his mic wasn’t working. We waited HOURS to see him perform,” one Tik Tok user said.

In the video, the artist is seen on stage wearing camouflage pants and black t-shirt singing, but he appears to stop mid-performance as he acknowledges the fans who were shouting, “we can’t hear, we can’t hear,” at him.

Other videos showed Skillibeng on stage, but the audio was not loud enough. The artist’s background music seemed to be playing, but sounds from his mic were heard.

“Kingston Music Festival…one of the worst events this whole year, worse experience ever,” one person wrote.

In the meantime, attendees at the event, which was held in North York, are demanding refunds from the organizers.

In the meantime, Popcaan, who also performed at the venue, used his set to criticize organizers for their poor efforts as he referenced the fact that his hardworking fans paid good money to go to the event and deserved better. The artist said he wanted to leave but decided to stay and perform for his fans.

Kingston Music Fest organizers have not publicly addressed the issues raised.

Fivio Foreign Takes Credit For Reviving Mase Career

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Fivio Foreign has no intention to stop taunt Mase and is even taking credit for reviving the former Bad Boy rapper’s career.

The back and forth between the two started back in July, following a Fivio Foreign appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast. During the interview, the Brooklyn rapper claimed that in 2019 he signed a questionable recording contract with Mase’s RichFish label. He even controversially revealed that his production deal included a paltry $5,000 advance.

Eventually, Mase got word of what was said and disputed Fivio’s account of events saying the rapper was given much more money later in the contract.

The “Tell Me What You Want” rapper even gave financial details about how part of the contract broke down.

“At one time, I gave him $5,000, but I gave him $750,000… because I set him up to do a deal to where I can control the deal, make the deal what it should be because I knew if he had the leverage, he would go in there and sell both of us out,” he said.

According to Mase, when they attended that meeting, he took $800,000, and the “Top Notch” rapper took $700,000. He added that the offer went down to $700,000 because he gave him $750,000, and he took $750,000, so Fivio still owed him $50,000.

Fivio Foreign followed up his previous claims by revealing that he was in the studio working on an unreleased track that is a definite sample of Mase’s 1997 hit “What You Want” featuring Total.

Now, he’s back at it and once again took to Instagram to share that, according to him, he single handily revived Mase’s career. In the clip, he again looks to the track “What You Want” for inspiration.

“Single handidly bringing n****s bacc to life,” Fivio captioned the post. As a further taunt, he added laughing and fire emojis.
