Spice is finally addressing her Smurf fan base almost a week since rumors surfaced that she had experienced post-surgery complications.

A popular Instagram page that tracks celebrities who get plastic surgery claimed that the “Go Down Deh” singer had been in the Dominican Republic for a round 2 BBL, but she suffered complications, and her health was deteriorating as she was in a coma.

Other persons who claimed to be close to Spice’s family also said that the singer had suffered a heart attack. However, Spice on Wednesday expressed gratitude to God and explained that she had to get emergency surgery for a hernia.

“Thank you Jesus for saving my life,” she captioned a photo of her in a blue gown with her hand clasped in prayer. “Hey Besties I’m in a better space today to properly update you on my current health situation. I suffered a [damaged] hernia a few days ago that sent my body into sepsis, as a result I was rushed to the hospital for immediate surgery,” she continued.

The Love and Hip Hop cast member also addressed the rumors and said it was false.

“As you know I’ve been off Social Media for a while to rest mentally, so little did I know that during my medical scare it was already been said that I had a heart attack, I was in a Coma , and I also died. but none of that is true. However, I’m still recovering from what really happened so thanks so much for all the prayers and concerns, please take great care of yourself, eat, live, love laugh, like it’s your last day, I love you all so much,” the artist wrote.

In her post, the artist apologized to promoters for the events she wouldn’t be able to attend as she recovers. One show in the Cayman Islands for Nov. 25th for Spice has now been postponed, with the artist promising that she will see her fans at a later date.

Aneka ‘Slickianna’ Townsend’s Autopsy Reveals She Was Strangled

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has announced that Rushane Patterson will be questioned about the murder of Instagram influencer Aneka ‘Slickiana’ Townsend.

The young woman’s body was found floating in Reading, St. James, on October 21, sparking speculations that she was killed. On Monday, the JCF announced that her autopsy showed that her cause of death was strangulation. Slickianna’s body reportedly had a cord around the neck.

The results of the autopsy have now confirmed to investigators that Townsend was killed. According to an unnamed senior cop, Patterson, who was arrested on November 2, will now be questioned about her death.

Patterson was named a person of interest within 24 hours after Townsend’s body was discovered, and it has been rumored that he was the last person seen in her company. However, the Hanover resident reportedly hid away at a guest house in the town while evading Jamaican police with empty promises of turning himself in with a lawyer.

Patterson’s arrest has opened a can of worms as many women have come forward to allege violence at his hands. On November 3, a day after he was captured in relation to Townsend’s death, Jamaican police charged Patterson with abduction and assault occasioning bodily harm to his ex-girlfriend.

Her allegations stem from a 2018 incident in Duhaney Park, St. Andrew, where the woman said she met up with Patterson, also called “Chizzie,” her ex-boyfriend, at a gas station in the area.

While in his car, he showed her a photo of her current boyfriend and became angry and violent after demanding to know how many times they had sex and also accused her of being an “informer” for the police. The woman alleges that he held her against her will, choked her, and punched her about the body several times.

Patterson also allegedly threatened to kill her and dispose of her body after he demanded that she withdraw her money from an ATM and give it to him.

Patterson is connected to a 2014 rape and murder where he allegedly slashed a woman’s throat after raping her and leaving her to die. The rape victim who later survived was with her partner at the time, and he died after jumping from the trunk of the moving car Patterson allegedly drove. The case was dismissed in 2017 after the victim did not turn up for court.

Rushane Patterson is also said to be in court for another rape matter that is ongoing in Westmoreland.

Rihanna Was Back Working 3 Days After Giving Birth, Talks Motherhood

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Rihanna is a proud super mom and likens motherhood to a whole new book on life.

Fans of the Bajan superstar will have to wait a little longer before they can see the Navy baby as Rihanna says she and her partner A$AP Rocky are being cautious. RiRi gave birth in May this year, and fans have had a ball of a time seeing the “Umbrella” artist enjoy her pregnancy with her unconventionally refreshing pregnancy fashion looks. Speaking with the Associated Press, the pop singer confirmed that she had a baby boy and spoke candidly about why she has not shared her baby with the world.

“We just didn’t get around to it yet really,” she begins.

The new mother did not share any more details about her son, not even his pinky toe, although he is approaching the six-month mark soon. Rihanna, however, says she and Rocky are enjoying their parenting journey despite the restrictions they’ve put on themselves.

“We’ve just been living but I guess there’s just a certain freedom that comes with kinda just like getting it out there. The challenge is we want to go to the park, we want to go everywhere, take walks and things as we want to do as parents with him but since we haven’t gotten around to sharing him with the world, we have to navigate it extremely extremely cautiously right now,” she said.

The “Lift Me Up” artist also spoke with Access Hollywood, who asked her about having her son, coming back to handle business, releasing new music, and even rehearsing and getting ready for her Super Bowl performance in February.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky at the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiere in Los Angeles, October 26, 2022.

When asked if she planned to have the baby, Rihanna said, “can you plan a baby like that? The baby comes into play and then everything shifts cause that’s the number one priority. You can’t delay a baby you can’t be like push back the due date; it’s coming. So things are gonna have to adjust, that’s a challenge in itself and I love it.”

She also spoke about getting back to her routine post-pregnancy, noting that she started working three days after giving birth.

“It’s crazy, actually getting back in heels was tough. I wore heels throughout my entire pregnancy and after you give birth it’s like ‘oh sh*t’ this is different but getting back into making music, and into studio, and back at work, I was back at work three days after I give birth,” Rihanna said.

The artist shared that she began working on the new Savage X Fenty show and the Fenty Sport line right after giving birth.

“There are also other dates you can’t push back…things like Sport, if I didn’t get on that call honestly we wouldn’t have [Fenty] Sport be a part of this show,” she said.

When asked about her decision to headline the Super Bowl Halftime show, Rihanna shared that she took a while to make up her mind.

“It was definitely not ‘yeah’, it was like let me think about it, and I delayed it and delayed it and it was probably one of the latest announcements that they’ve had but I really started to think about it and truly started to consider it when I was going through my music,” she said she became convinced that her catalog is superior enough for the performance.

In the meantime, the singer-songwriter, actress, and billionaire businesswoman also spoke about her relationship with A$AP Rocky and the early stages of motherhood.

According to her, she was overwhelmed and so intimidated by the idea of taking the Super Bowl stage, but the father of her child Rocky was also one of her biggest supporters.

“He was like ‘you got this, you can do this’… it’s amazing to have a friendship like be the center of our entire family and I really love it,” she said about the Mercer + Prince businessman and rapper.

As for her baby boy, the Barbadian National Hero also spoke glowingly about her son’s eyes and experiencing motherhood.

“So motherhood is a whole other beast. So life starts over when you become a parent. It’s like life like you’ve never known before it’s like you get a second full book it’s not a chapter, like a new book completely,” she said.

She continued, “the beginning it’s like you’re tripping acid every day, it’s wild and trippy…You look at him and he’s yours but he’s a stranger and he’s new and you’re learning as he’s learning you and the world. It’s an amazing experience honestly but the thing I really like is his eye contact that’s some awesome sh*t…when he looks at me in my eyes my whole soul is like, I can’t tell if it’s cold or hot, it’s amazing.”

The artist declined to say if her son had eyes like hers, which has sparked the curiosity of fans online who hope to get a glimpse of baby Rakim and Rihanna soon.

In the meantime, fans aren’t just waiting to see the artist’s baby; they might be waiting for music longer than they want.

Rihanna also addressed the calls from fans for new music after she announced her Super Bowl performance.

“Super Bowl is one thing, new music is another thing, do you hear that fans?” the Pop star said as she laughed.

She continued, “because I knew the second that I announce this they’re gonna think my album is coming, I need to get to work.”

Black Immigrant Daily News

Reggae singer Ky-Mani Marley was arrested by the Pembroke Pines Police Department during a traffic stop on Thursday in Florida for driving on a suspended license.

The Jamaican actor/musician, who is said to have tried to post bail on Thursday night, is facing a two-month jail sentence and could be fined up to US$500, given that he is a first-time offender. In Florida, a second offense could see that fine increased to $1000, and jail time could end up being a year behind bars.

Broward Sheriff Office Public Information Office senior officer, Carey Codd, confirmed Friday morning the reports of the arrest and mentioned that jail records showed that Marley is out of custody.

The Grammy nominee rose to prominence with his raw, unadulterated, gruff sound, which captures the listener and reverberates the essence of his life story. The 46-year-old has produced notable songs such as “Dear Dad,” “I Pray,” “Ghetto Soldier,” as well as “Fist Full of Dollars.”

Marley has also built a career as an actor, starring alongside fellow Reggae artiste Spragga Benz in the iconic Jamaican film Shottas in 2002.

Ky-Mani Marley is Bob Marley’s second eldest son, and unlike his brothers, who are primarily reggae musicians, he went into acting and film production at an early age. Despite being more famous for his many movie roles, Ky-Mani is still as prolific as his brothers on the microphone.

Ky-Mani Marley is currently out on bail.

50 Cent Advice Quavo How To Handle Takeoff’s Legacy

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

50 Cent wants Quavo to move swiftly on securing Takeoff’s legacy.

The hip-hop community is still reeling from the shocking death of Takeoff. Many veterans in the industry have shared their feelings about the influential rapper’s passing. The tragedy hasn’t been lost on 50 Cent either, who recently paid tribute to Takeoff following the rapper’s tragic death. The successful rapper turned television exec took some time out during a concert in Seinäjoki, Finland, on Tuesday night, November 1, to acknowledge the passing of the Atlanta native.

That was the same day the “Walk It, Talk It” rapper was shot and killed in Houston. The G-Unit leader paid tribute to the fallen rapper by projecting his image on the stage as the Migos‘ “Bad and Boujee” hit blasted through the speakers at the arena. He did a similar thing to honor veteran rapper Coolio who died earlier this year.

“I paid tribute to Takeoff last night in Finland it was lit, GLG GreenLightGang tour let’s get it,” the Power executive producer tweeted yesterday, November 2. The “Many Men” rapper also took some time out to issue some words of advice to Quavo.

The “Candy Shop” rapper is very familiar with how the industry works and offers up some words of wisdom on how Quavo could keep Takeoff’s legacy alive and his contribution remembered for some time to come.

Using Instagram, Fif shared a clip of Pop Smoke’s former manager Steven Victor in which he revealed a conversation that the pair had following the death of the beloved Brooklyn rapper. He shared that he urged Victor to try and work through the grief and focus on finishing and putting out Pop’s posthumous album Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon.

“50 was like, ‘Yo, you’re being selfish. You can’t let your emotions or you being in this depressed state stop you from executing what plans you guys had. Because three weeks ago you guys were in my office talking about taking over the world,’” Victor is quoted as saying in the interview.

In another part of the interview, he explained that 50 asked him the tough questions like who was going to keep the “For The Night” rapper’s legacy going and who was going to make sure his music came out so he could take care of his family?

Victor was appreciative of the tough but prudent advice in the midst of his grief.

It’s pretty much the same advice that 50 Cent wants to pass on to Quavo, as evidenced by his caption.

“This is really how it goes @QuavoStuntin you have to position this Album correctly for Take Offs Legacy, go make a couple changes and address everything all artist make the best music out of painful moments. R.I.P to Pop Smoke R.I.P to TakeOff,” he posted.

Takeoff’s death is still being mourned by many in the industry, including influential artists like Drake, Beyoncé, Future, and T.I.

The latest news surrounding his death suggests that the 28-year-old rapper died after stray bullets penetrated his head and torso into his arm.

In a video recently obtained from TMZ, which was taken just moments before the shooting, a man with a gun was identified by authorities as a person of interest.

Nipsey Hussle’s Baby Mother Insists She Has Full Custody Of Daughter Despite Reports

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

The mother of Nipsey Hussle’s daughter, Emani Dior Asghedom, is back in court fighting for custody of the 13-year-old child.

Tanisha Foster wants custody of her daughter and claims that a court had granted her care and control of the child in the past, but she remains in the custody of Nipsey Hussle’s family.

On Wednesday, Foster, who goes by the name ‘Chyna Hussle’ on Instagram, shared a visitation order document from January 1, 2012, issued by the Judicial Court of California. Foster claims she was granted custody of Emani, and Nipsey only had weekend visitation rights.

The document showed that Hussle had custody of Emani from Friday to Monday every weekend of the month. The document appeared to be attached to a custody order, but she did not share the custody order. Emani was born in 2008 and will turn 14 years old in November. Her custody has been a source of contention and ongoing dispute between the family of Hussle since his death.

During his life, Emani resided with her father, but after his death in 2019, Foster has taken the rapper’s family members to court to secure custody. On Tuesday, Hussle’s older brother, Sam Asghedom, who is the court-appointed administrator of his estate in relation to probate proceedings, filed a status report on his handling of the rapper’s estate where he outlined the ongoing challenge with the custody battle.

In the report, Sam writes that guardianship of his niece is still pending. Emani and her half-brother Kross are the sole beneficiaries of Hussle’s multimillion-dollar estate, but Nipsey’s family is accusing Tanisha of not only being an unfit parent but possibly seeking to get her hands on the $2 million Emani would be entitled to after probate is completed.

After Nipsey’s death, his family applied for guardianship of Emani, and his sister Samantha Smith, brother Sam and grandmother Angelique were named joint guardians.

Foster, who had agreed to the guardianship in 2019, filed a motion for custody in 2022 to reverse the order. In the document, she claimed that she had agreed due to her “own financial limitations; her desire to maintain the standard of living and family contact the minor had experienced with the paternal family before her father’s death, and upon the verbal assurances that each of them would act in the best interests of Emani.”

She said that after the order was granted, the family not only had complete control of Emani but also did not give her any financial assistance and reduced her visitation.

Foster’s motion asked for custody and for the court to appoint a “neutral experience financial planner” to manage her daughter’s inheritance money.

“There are no circumstances or events in my life that would disqualify me from regaining my exclusive role as Emani’s parent. There is no longer any need for guardianship. Emani routinely asks me when are she and I going to be able to live together. She longs to be with me as her mother. I am begging the court to terminate the existing guardianship,” she wrote.

In 2019, TMZ reported that the rapper’s family told the court that Foster was not a good parent and would likely waste her daughter’s inheritance left to her by her father as she seeks to live a lavish lifestyle she can’t afford for herself.

Nipsey’s grandmother Angelique who helped raise the rapper, passed away last month. She was also one of the guardians of Emani.

The court has yet to rule on the outcome of the case, but custody and guardianship orders are usually granted for the best interests of the child, as determined by the court.

Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed in 2019 outside his clothing store in Los Angeles.

50 Cent Speak On ‘Power’ Producer Randall Emmett Calling Him N-Word Allegedly

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

50 Cent is speaking out on Power producer Randall Emmett allegedly calling him the n-word.

If it’s one thing we can count on, it’s that 50 Cent is going to give his side of the story. The veteran rapper has reacted to the allegations that he was on the receiving end of a racial slur from Power producer Randall Emmett.

The allegations surfaced following an article in the Los Angeles Times, which states that one of Emmett’s former assistants, Martin G’Blae, filed a lawsuit against the film and TV executive yesterday November 1.

The suit accuses Emmet of enabling a hostile workplace because of racial discrimination. G’Blae accused Emmett of making racist comments about Black performers. Some of the names he mentioned included 50 Cent, Cardi B and Quavo.

Another tidbit coming out of the filing is that Emmett once called 50 “this fucking n-gger.” It is claimed that the words were spoken in August 2020 and were made after Emmett read the “Candy Shop” rapper’s book Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter.

G’Blae alleged that after reading the book, Emmett said: “All you guys are alike. All you guys do is hustle people,” before throwing the book at him.

Well, 50 had no love for Emmett when he heard about the Times story. Taking to Instagram earlier today, he posted: “This does not surprise me this guy is a real piece of sh*t. Randell(Sorry Fofty) Emmett, but wait is he canceled for this?”

He made the post alongside a shot of the article. Of course, that was not enough for the New York rapper who trolled Emmett some more to drive his point home. In another post, he shared a clip of Emmett’s ex-wife Lala Kent when she admitted she had a crush on 50 Cent since “In Da Club” in an interview with E!

“This is what probably got Randell Emmett so mad that he went off on his assistan. STARZ is going to pull him off production credits no major company will allow this kind of behavior,” he captioned that one.

Emmett’s attorney Suann MacIsaac has continued to deny the allegations, and according to her, Emmett is looking forward to vigorously defending the suit.

Offset Honors Late Migos Group Member Takeoff On Instagram

Black Immigrant Daily News

The content originally appeared on: Urban Islandz

Offset is yet to break his silence and speak on his cousin and Migos brother Takeoff’s death, but on Wednesday, he publicly reacted by showing love to the late rapper.

No doubt, the death of his cousin and Migos band member, Takeoff, who was shot and killed on Monday night (October 31), is weighing heavy on Offset, who not only grew up with Takeoff but they were also very close and remained on good terms despite the split of Migos earlier this year.

There’s been a somber mood in the hip-hop world following Takeoff’s death as fans, and other celebrities attempt to make sense of the tragedy.

On Wednesday, Offset changed his display photo to a close-up of Takeoff wearing dark sunglasses and smiling.

The other member of the Migos, Quavo, who was present when the incident took place, has not spoken about the tragedy. In videos shared online of the shooting, Quavo was seen screaming and crying in agony after realizing that Takeoff was shot and lay bleeding with a pool of blood around his head.

Meanwhile, fans have been reminiscing on the life of Takeoff. Videos of the late rapper’s many freestyles and clips from Migos’ music videos have been shared by fans who express the deep sense of loss many people felt after learning about the rapper’s passing.

A throwback video from 106 & Park in 2015 was also shared by another fan, where Bow Wow spoke to the three rappers and noted that up to that point, the Migos’ first men were Takeoff and Quavo, who held the group down while Offset was in jail.

In the video, Offset is asked about finally being able to join his family members, Takeoff and Quavo.

“First of all, it’s a blessing to come out of a situation like that but I been going in the studio,” Offset says, while Takeoff later adds that the group won’t stop.

On Twitter, many also shared messages of comfort and camaraderie for Offset and Quavo as they mourn Takeoff.

“Quavo and Offset gotta come back together and carry the Migos legacy. Do it for Takeoff man,” one fan wrote.

“Takeoff gone, quavo and offset on bad terms, its over but we need to celebrate migos run – a decade of hits, one of hiphops greatest groups, and probably the most influential atlanta artists in recent years outside of future thug and gucci,” another wrote.

“Offset was really looking like a whole proud father the way he reacted to Takeoff’s freestyle,” a third fan added.
