Tupac Shakur ex-girlfriend Desiree Smith says she was not underage or drunk in their infamous sex tape from over two decades ago.

Legendary rapper Tupac Shakur is no longer with us and so cannot defend himself when accusations are laid against his character. One of the accusations that his legacy has had to endure over the years was that he was a sexual abuser of women.

One of the more potent allegations against him occurred after police searched his room at the New York City’s Parker Meridian Hotel in 1993 and discovered a videotape of the respected rapper allegedly having sex with an intoxicated, underage girl.

The officers in question were trying to build a case against the “Changes” rapper for the alleged sodomy of Ayanna Jackson. Now more than two decades later, his name has been cleared by the girl in the video, Desiree Smith, who explained at length during an interview with The Art of Dialogue the circumstances of the video.

She made it clear that she was neither underage nor was she intoxicated at the time of their rendezvous.

According to her, they were just having fun which included some drinking. Still, she insisted that she was not intoxicated and was very aware of everything going on during the encounter.

“We had some weed, we drank and we was just having fun. He had a camcorder he had just got and we did what some people do. I usually don’t do that, but I did it with him, and I didn’t expect for it to go the way it went,” she added.

Smith also shared that Tupac’s lawyer met her and told her that the police would be using the tape to arrest Tupac Shakur for sexual assault. She said that what the police saw on the tape may have been twisted because even though she didn’t look it, she was not underage. Additionally, she also insisted that all they did was smoke weed and have a few drinks but that she was a willing participant in everything else that happened.

Smith believes that all the police wanted was to show that Tupac had a pattern of behavior and that sexual assault was basically in his nature, and that tape would be the key to proving that.

“They were looking for any little thing to charge this man with and they tired it with that and blew it out of proportion. I remember being on the train with some of friends and seeing this paper right before Thanksgiving and knowing — I knew from the moment that I saw it that it had to be me,” she added.

Smith added that by the time the news came to her, it had already been months that the tape was out and that 2Pac carried it everywhere with him, which ironically led to it being seized.

This is probably the first time she’s gone public since her lawyer ensured her name was never shared with the media or the court. She also shared that they dated on and off for about three years, even during his six-month stint for two counts of sexual abuse. To date, the tape has never been found or resurfaced, leading many to believe it was destroyed some time ago.

Nicki Minaj was forced to cancel one of her meet and greets in the UK amid police struggling to control large crowds.

Nicki Minaj delivered to fans at her Wireless performance over the weekend despite arriving at the festival performance late and leaving fans irate at her tardiness.

It was mayhem ahead of Nicki Minaj’s performance as fans rushed the venue and can be seen in videos pushing against security personnel to get into the event ahead of the Queen’s appearance.

Nicki Minaj, however, arrived more than 30 minutes late and did not apologize, which set off fans who attended the event hours ahead of her performance time just to see her.

To make matters worse, Minaj was only able to get in a 40-minute set rather than the full 80-minute set she was booked for, and while it was short and sweet, the performance was still affected by technical difficulties and disruptions during her set due to sound issues.

According to fans on Twitter, the artist’s mic and the monitor sounds had delayed feedback which affected Nicki Minaj’s performance, and she even asked fans to excuse her as she took a break in the middle of her set.

“Can you guys give me 30 seconds,” she said to the crowd.

Fans were also patient with her request for time for a wardrobe change, but some were not too pleased as the time ran up to the 9.30 pm curfew hour in London.

In the meantime, Nicki’s star power was on full display as videos were shared online showing massive crowds in the streets waiting on the rapper. According to Metro UK, hundreds of festival attendees rammed the area leading into Wireless in sweltering 30 degrees Celsius heat. Police also struggled to control the crowds as many climbed fences and rushed the venue. There were reports that a fan was crushed as police struggled to manage the large crowds that surrounded the venue.

On Monday, videos also showed hundreds of fans running in the streets around Finsbury Park to get a glimpse of the artist, who was photographed heading to her meet and greet. All was not well, though, as Minaj was seen shoving a fan out of the way as many pressed into and around her from all angles.

In the video, Nicki Minaj can be heard screaming to the fan “back” and “move” as she physically pushed the woman who was taking a selfie video with her.

There is also a video showing the rapper sitting out of a Benz Truck surrounded by thousands of fans who turned up at her meet and greet.

On Twitter, she addressed the chaos seen in the streets of London.

“Guys, if you don’t get in a contained space they won’t let me get out the cars. Pls don’t run in the streets. Please get in 1 place. 1 line,” she wrote on Twitter.

Cardi B dropped some hints that her sophomore album could be released this summer.

The long wait for Cardi B fans may soon be over. For about four years, fans have been eagerly anticipating her sophomore album, but it’s been delayed for various reasons, including technical difficulties.

However, it seems like the long vigil may soon be over, as, in a recent interview with Vogue Singapore, the Bronx rapper revealed her new album is just around the corner.

That’s according to journalist Amelia Chia who wrote in the cover story and is quoted as saying, “she tells me firmly that she’s not waiting very long – ‘a month or two’ – before her next single, and album, gets released.” Cardi is also the cover page of the July/August issue.

It is believed that the single in question is the “Bodak Yellow” rapper’s recently released “Hot Sh*t” collaboration with Kanye West and Lil Durk.

Even though the album has been delayed, she has been putting in the work with singles which are also expected to feature on her next album. They include “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and “Up.”

At the beginning of this year, she shared with fans some of the challenges she faced in trying to get the album done, including her “ghetto ass studio,” which was built inside her home.

In addition to that, she also complained about other technical difficulties but always vowed that she would not give up the fight to release her next album. Very little is known about the upcoming album except the two singles mentioned above will feature. Something that she had to defend, as well as some fans, criticized her for trying to increase her streaming numbers by including the tracks.

Whatever the circumstances, fans are looking forward to hearing what she has in store since the release of her 2018 debut Invasion Of Privacy.

Popcaan had a smashing performance at Wireless Festival on Sunday, and the OVO deejay is still riding on a high wave as his career climbs new heights.

On Sunday, Popcaan was added to the lineup at the last minute despite Lil Durk being advertised on Wireless’ poster for the event on Sunday, which said Nicki Minaj, Summer Walker, and other artists were performing.

Wireless has not addressed why Popcaan replaced Lil Durk, but some fans online were not happy about the switch up and have pointed out that the festival was aware that Lil Durk was previously denied entry into the UK due to his past criminal record.

While many claimed that Durk “pulled out” of the event, according to Wireless, there are reports that he wasn’t even booked and couldn’t legally pass the border.

Lil Durk has a song named “Denied in UK” that speaks to a previous attempt at entering the UK but not being allowed in by the UK’s Home Office. The country has shown itself to be very serious in not letting in artists who have criminal records. In the past, Lil Wayne has been banned for the same reason.

In the meantime, fans were not disappointed as Popcaan brought the vibes. Many videos were shared by fans praising his performance as “10/10”.

Another said Popcaan “delivered an outstanding performance in the UK.”

Popcaan also shared a post of gratitude for being able to hit the big stage as he addressed critics.

“Some little people always ago ina them feelings because this lil country boy from St. Thomas not supposed to make it like this. But them never see you at the starting line. Gwaan dweet enuh. Me glad fi see you a dweet it me brother. Words from bilberber,” he wrote in an Instagram Story.

Meanwhile, Skillibeng and Shenseea also delivered dancehall hits to fans at Wireless Festival, the first time that two young dancehall entertainers have graced the stage in a long time.

Popcaan also reportedly got a collab with Lil Durk in the works, a snippet of which has been making the rounds.

Kevin Gates is a little too real and open on the next episode of Careesha Please hosted by Yung Miami on the Diddy-owned Revolve TV.

The City Girls rapper popped out with a brand-new podcast last month with none other than her boo Diddy Love on her inaugural episode, and she’s coming back with another provoking interview with Kevin Gates, who lays out his sexual fantasies that have left the hip-hop world shocked.

In a preview shared online, Yung Miami asks the rapper whether it was really true that he was having sex with his cousin unknowingly, to which the rapper explains that after he was told, he wasn’t ready to stop.

In 2015, the rapper had first revealed that he was in a three-month-old relationship when he found out that he was having sex with a blood relative.

“I ain’t about to stop fucking with her,” the rapper had said on Instagram after his followers had criticized him about the revelation.

“Y’all done got the hard part out of the way,” Gates said. “Why f*** up a good thing?” he said to the initial post, which made the announcement, “Newsflash: I’m proud that I’m having sex with my cousin.”

In other interviews, the rapper also confirmed years later that he and the cousin continued to date for about two years. Well, the preview already raises so many questions, which hopefully Gates can reveal in the full show.

As for the interview set to air on July 14, the rapper appears to also be speaking about his freaky sexual proclivities, which he has hinted at in his recent song “Super General,” where he speaks about his freaky desires for Rubi Rose and also for Nicki Minaj and Beyonce.

Even Yung Miami seems blown away by the rapper’s fantasies, “I’m speechless,” she says in the preview to Gates as he’s rattling off his nasty fantasies.
