Shaneil Muir is calling out fellow artist Mr. Vegas and her ex-manager Richie Flores after the latter did an interview claiming that he didn’t owe her money.

The dancehall singer hinted in her Instagram Live this week that she was experiencing issues with her manager, leading many to believe that her decision to step away from dancehall music had something to do with her problems with Flores. On Friday, Shaneil Muir lashed out at Mr. Vegas after his interview on Instagram live with Flores.

“Mr vegas since you have become a mediator I appreciate your intervention so long as you can help support the truth with evidence and authentic documentation so that richie flores does not also taint you as a liar and instigator,” Muir said on her Instagram account on Friday.

In another graphic, she wrote, “For the clarity of doubt please present your exhibits as AUTHENTIC EVIDENCE to support your claim of these accounts that Rebel Ace and its director Mr Richard Flores have assured the masses that he has and that you have seen.”

In the Live with Mr. Vegas, Flores claimed that he had been paying Muir’s Road Manager for her tour throughout the time they worked together as well as the booking agent.

Flores confirmed that Muir terminated him as her manager in October, but he did not state her reason for doing so.

It seems that money is at the center of the breakdown, as Flores said that the artist asked that 100% of the funds from her shows be sent to her on October 4. He said that Muir was not receiving 100% of her funds because of “incidentals” that he kept. “Incidentals may happen, an artist may miss a flight… may miss a show and then you would have to return the deposit to the promoter as your responsibility as the booking agent.”

Flores claimed that his company Rebel Ace which managed her bookings and shows, had secured bookings up to 2023. The manager hinted that he was accused of using Muir’s money to go to Paris, which led to the fallout.

“There’s been some insinuating that I use Shaneil money to go to Paris. This is not the case. Right. Me and my wife celebrate the same birthday. My wife work full time, I work full time. We both have jobs. I mean I shouldn’t have to try to explain myself but the fact that people would insinuate that I would take Shaneil’s money is ludicrous.”

In the meantime, Flores says that he was told by Muir on October 4 that he was not authorized to accept funds on her behalf, and the artist later terminated his services on October 10.

The manager added that Shaneil owes him money for the shows that were booked for her up to 2023. On Thursday, the artist shared that she was going to honor her obligations to those promoters, which showed more than a dozen performances in the Caribbean and the United States from October to December and two shows in February 2023.

In the meantime, Flores handed over $4,000 to Muir on October 13 after his company deducted 30% of the monies it held- 20% for management fees and 10% for booking fees. The artist had received 50% of the booking fee from promoters.

Muir has reportedly sent letters from her lawyers demanding that Flores return the 20% management fees he has collected as that is future income for work he has not done. However, her letter says he may keep the 10% booking fee.

Flores is, however, adamant that he owes her anything.

Meanwhile, Muir has reportedly hired a new manager, Cara Vickers, and a lawyer who has sent him a letter accusing him of collecting the remaining funds for a show last week. He denied that he collected any fees from any promoter in Jamaica.

“I’ve never robbed Shaneil, I’ve never taken any money from Shaneil, I was always fair to Shaneil and I think Shaneil is one of the most talented artists out there in the whole industry,” Flores said.

On Friday, Shaneil Muir called out her ex-manager, whom she said has not responded to the lawyer’s letter.

“It’s so funny how you find LIVE INTERVIEW hiding your face and you have yet to respond to my lawyer regarding the matter, after giving me only 24 hrs to respond to your cease and desist initially,” she said in a statement posted on her Instagram Story.

“Fire de a muss muss tail him tink a cool breeze,” Flores added.

“Fool man but you can’t fool God. “I’ve known Shaneil long before her success” YES! You were strategic in your planning. MasterMind!” she added in another Instagram Story.

Conscious dancehall icon Sizzla is thankful for the consideration by the Recording Academy in the running for the 65th Grammy Awards. He could be among the nominees for Best Reggae Album for his latest work, Rise Up. He’ll have to wait until Tuesday, November 15, to know if the album was selected.

The last time he received a nomination was in 2014 for the self-produced album The Messiah. The “Just One of Those Days” artist spoke with STAR about the nomination and what it means to him.

“I would like to say thanks to the Most High Jah Rastafari for his divine inspiration, who had endowed me with the strength, love, life and intelligence in keeping my being wholesome and healthy for me to be able to deliver my messages of love and culture to the people of the world,” he shared.

He also said that he was especially thankful to his fans and those who voted for the album to be nominated, as they have been his die-hard supporters since the very beginning of his career. Sizzla shot to fame in the 90s with his lyrical flow at a time when conscious dancehall was dominating the airwaves throughout the Caribbean region.

Like most hard-working artists, he’s never stopped churning out hits and has well over 50 albums. His most popular albums from which many tracks are still played throughout the Caribbean include Black Woman and Child, Praise Ye Jah, and Good Ways.

This latest project, RISE, has 12 tracks and was produced by his label Kalonji Music Production and Blaqk Sheep Music. It was released on July 22. Sizzla, who was born to devout Rastafarian parents, has definitely stayed true to his beliefs.

He is currently the indigenous president of the Nyabinghi Theocracy Reign government of the Rastafari nation, an ambassador of the Ethiopia Africa Black International Congress True Divine Church of Salvation, and an ambassador to Jamaica in black culture, black heritage, and black history.

All of his devotion to his way of life has helped mold most of his albums, including this one as well. He explained that it’s not just for the people of Jamaica that he does music but for all the people around the world who hold steadfast to the Rastafarian way.

The “Good Ways” singer also said that he is encouraged by the fact his music has helped people to feel more connected to Jamaican culture and that the island’s music has continued to flourish in a competitive world market.

“I expect Sizzla to continue in the path of his Majesty, teaching the people of the world through his music and help in advancing the welfare and well-being of a people so poised at getting to the world and having the right things done,” he added.

Sizzla has remained a cornerstone of the conscious dancehall movement in Jamaica and has at least 21 albums that have made it onto Billboard’s Top Reggae Albums music chart.

Sizzla, along with Capleton, Norris Man, Turbulence, Buju Banton, and Anthony B, are credited with leading a movement that saw the reemergence of the Rastafarian way of life through their highly sought-after music.

NBA YoungBoy released his new album, Ma’ I Got A Family, released the day after his 23rd birthday on October 20.

The new project features Nicki Minaj and Yeat. On Thursday, he released the tracklist accompanied by a photo of himself resting his head on the shoulders of his fiancée, Jazlyn Mychelle, with whom he shares two children. In the photo she is holding their newborn baby boy.

According to NBA YoungBoy, the project is a “Gangsta Grillz Special Edition.” On Instagram, Nicki Minaj also wished the Baton Rouge rapper happy birthday as she also announced her feature. “Happy Birthday [YoungBoy Never Broke Again]. NBA BETTER NBA YOUNGBOY BETTER!!!! New Album tonight,” she wrote on Instagram Stories.

The tracklist comprised the songs “Pop Out”, “Rain”, “Sedated”, “Get Right”, “Right Now”, “Ben Lomond Mountain”, “Kentrell Talk”, “Sport Mode”, “Pay Me”, “All The Problems”, “Chose”, “Rose Gold”, “I Admit” Ft., Nicki Minaj, “Change On Me”, “King of the Jungle”, “I Don’t Text Back” ft Yeat, “Act A Fool”, and “Kick It.”

Ma’ I Got A Family is the second project to be released by the Baton Rouge rapper in October and the sixth project for him in 2022. Earlier this month, he released 3800 Degrees, which featured 13 tracks featuring Mouse, Shy Glizzy, and E-40.

YoungBoy’s music releases are just a part of the successful year he has had, as it was shared months ago that he reportedly re-signed a deal with his label Atlantic Records for a whopping $60 million. The rapper was also successful in beating the California felony gun charges case back in July.

YB also got engaged to his girlfriend Mychelle, and the couple welcomed a baby boy in September.

As for music, YoungBoy continues to beat his own record as he is now the second-highest streamed artist in the United States behind Drake, with more than 6 billion streams in 2022 so far. He has also racked up another special accolade with 24 of his songs charting on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, a feat only achieved by Jay-Z.

Despite his accolades, YoungBoy Never Broke Again has not publicly spoken about his achievements but has kept them in his music.

50 Cent goes to bat for Eminem saying he doesn’t get enough credit for his contribution to hip hop.

There are many hip-hop fans who believe that Eminem is one of the greatest rappers of all time, but there are also many others who think that he’s overrated. Over the decades of his career, he’s become quite a polarizing topic that is constantly debated by hardcore fans of the genre.

Eminem’s close friend, 50 Cent, believes that even with the recognition that he does get, it’s just not enough for the type of appeal and impact that the Detroit native has contributed to hip-hop. He expressed his opinion about the “Rap God” rapper yesterday, October 18, when he spoke with Ebro Darden on his Ebro In The Morning show.

50 Cent explained that his point of view is tied to the fact that Eminem’s global reach carried hip-hop to a lot more people than other rappers could. He believes that Eminem’s phenomenal appeal is one of the main reasons that the genre has continued to grow around the world.

That’s why he thinks that the “Lose Yourself” rapper does not get enough credit for what he’s done for hip-hop.

“I think part of Eminem’s legacy is the growth of our culture. People wouldn’t buy it if they didn’t see where they fit into it. And he’s there and he’s a legitimate artist because of his journey,” he added.

The New York native used Eminem’s 8 Mile movie as a prime example of how he helped people to see themselves in his world. He argued that the movie was focused on a black story with a white lead. The movie featured poverty and other circumstances that black people often face, he continued.

The “Candy Shop” rapper also said that one also has to look at Em’s close friends like Proof and D-12 to realize that the rapper, who turned 50 Cent a few days ago, is the real deal when it comes to hip-hop.

“Who would be upset when a white guy comes in and is selling the most records in Hip Hop culture, and is still, to this day, the highest-selling artist in Hip Hop? N.W.A., maybe N***s With Attitudes would be upset. So Jimmy [Iovine]’s a genius for putting him with Dre,” he added.

50 Cent also took some time out to talk about his latest TV project Hip-Hop Homicides and explain why newer fans of the genre may think that the rap world is much more violent these days. Fifty points out that violence has always been in those communities, and it’s just that now, the visibility of it is there, and it connects to hip-hop culture. It’s also because of the fact that hip-hop continues to grow exponentially, he continued.

The new project, Hip-Hop Homicides, is expected to premiere on AMC Network’s We TV next month on November 3 at 9 p.m. ET. Mona Scott-Young joins the former G-Unit boss as the show’s producer, while journalist and podcaster Van Lathan will host the series. It is also expected that the investigative series will take an intricate look into the untimely deaths of rap stars like XXXTentacion, Soulja Slim, King Von, Chinx, and more.

The “Many Men” rapper’s television career is chugging along at full steam as this is just one of three new projects for him.

50 Cent’s others include the podcast Surviving El Chapo: The Twins Who Brought Down a Drug Lord, which premiers today, October 19, and The BMF Documentary: Blowing Money Fast.

Nicki Minaj claims that the ongoing melee with her song “Super Freaky Girl” being removed from the rap category is the Grammys gaslighting her fans.

In an Instagram Live with Mack Maine on Sunday, Nicki Minaj called out the Recording Academy for seemingly deflecting from addressing the reason she was removed from the category.

“Instead of Grammys coming out and saying we aren’t changing our decision because we honestly don’t give a f***, they said, ‘well, we’re not gonna respond to why we moved Super Freaky Girl into a pop category, we’re just gonna tell all the black people and the hip hop culture that well Nicki is nominated in the rap category… she’s nominated in the rap category for ‘Do We Have A Problem,’ she’s nominated in the rap category for ‘Blick Blick’,” Nicki said.

Nicki Minaj also added that the Recording Academy claims she is in the rap category for other submissions. However, the rapper claims that submitting records doesn’t mean a song will be nominated so that she can submit a pool of songs, and it might not be selected by the nominating committee.

“This is another way that they are gaslighting y’all,” she said.

“I was talking about ‘Super Freaky Girls,’ but the Grammys have not responded to SFG but they have directed y’all attention to ‘Do We Have a Problem’. What does ‘Do We Have A Problem’ have to do with SFG?” the rapper asked.

Nicki Minaj also mentioned Drake and Kanye West’s outspoken statements against the Grammy, including Drake being upset at the organization for placing his rap songs into the pop category.

Nicki Minaj, who has been nominated just shy of a dozen times by the Grammys, has never won an award.The rapper was not pleased by the Grammys decision and said it ‘gaslit’ her fans with another of her collaboration.

“They just gaslit my fans into telling them ‘well “Do We Have a Problem” is in the rap category so um yea’. So, therefore, we’re supposed to say forget about the reason she spoke about this at all and let’s just say thanks for calling “Do We Have A Problem” rap, Grammys thank you’” Minaj said sarcastically.

The “Starships” rapper’s statement follows the news that her solo track “Super Freaky Girl” was removed from the Grammys rap category and moved to a pop category. Nicki Minaj had initially directed her anger at fellow rapper Latto, who is also nominated in the category for her song “Big Energy.”

On Twitter, Nicki Minaj used Latto’s song as an example of why it should also be moved to the pop category if SFG was pop. However, Latto didn’t like the comparison and messaged the Trinidadian rapper telling her not to use her song in bashing the Grammy.

The rappers ended up squabbling on Twitter last week as they each took jabs about their writing skills and age. Minaj continues to be upset at the shift while Latto’s song remains on the list for best rap song nomination.

In the meantime, the Grammys has not given an explanation for the move.
