Taraji P. Henson was turning up with Usher for her birthday in Las Vegas.

The Baby Boy actress welcomed her 52nd birthday with none other than the R&B legend at one of the live staging of his Las Vegas residency. Usher’s residency has sparked interest from many celebrity fans like embattled comedian Tiffany Haddish, Tevin Campbell, and Anita Baker. His show on Sunday night again hit the news as clips from the event went viral, showing Power actress Taraji showing off her sexy dance moves while the R&B singer serenaded her.

Taraji P. Henson celebrated her 52nd birthday with an appearance at the singer’s show. Usher, who became aware that she was in the audience, brought her out, and Taraji did not disappoint as she joined in the fun and had the enviable opportunity to touch the R&B crooner.

“We got grown and sexy in the house tonight,” Usher can be heard announcing as he acknowledges Taraji before he begins to sing.

Both Usher and Taraji P. Henson also can be seen rubbing each other up and down during the performance while Taraji even gets down low while suggestively rubbing his legs.

She later shared a clip from the event confirming she enjoyed her special day. “Sooooo about last night!!! Thank you @Usher #wehadatimelastnight #birthdaybehaviour #virgoseason.”

Usher’s Las Vegas Residency began earlier this month at Park MGM and will continue until May next year. The “OMG” artist has been delivering at his event, and he doesn’t fail to interact with his audience. Last week, he brought out R&B artist Tevin Campbell for a surprise performance to sing his classic hit “Can We Talk,” and later, he was also seen serenading the legendary Anita Baker with his song “Superstar.”

Many moments from his residency have gone viral with Usher, 43, showing off his various dance moves. Last week, Cardi B also gave the singer his flowers as she expressed how happy she was at people finally recognizing and celebrating his talent.

Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Kodak Black and more are paying tribute to rapper PnB Rock who died on Monday.

The shooting death of the Philly rapper has sent shockwaves across the hip-hop community as many mourned the death of the young and promising rapper. PnB Rock was shot during a robbery in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon while he and his girlfriend Stephanie Sibounheuang dined at Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles.

A gruesome and heartbreaking video has been shared online showing the 30-year-old rapper in a pool of blood in the aftermath of the shooting as the restaurant employees scrambled to help him.

A statement from Captain Kelly Muniz from the Los Angeles Police Department’s confirmed that PnB Rock was approached by a lone gunman. Muniz did not immediately identify the rapper but said the “victim was sitting at a table eating with a female witness when he was approached by the suspect.” The gunman pulled out a gun and demanded Rock hand over “his property”. Shortly before his death, Rock had posted photos of his gold and diamond jewelry.

The police captain said that the gunman fired several shots “and appears to remove some property.”

PnB Rock, real name Rakim Hasheem Allen, died shortly after the shooting at the scene. According to reports, Rock’s baby mother, a designer/influencer, had shared in a since-deleted Instagram Story a photo of their chicken and waffle meal and the restaurant’s location. The couple has a 2-year-old daughter Xuri.

PnB Rock broke into the hip hop scene in 2016 with his Billboard smash hit “Selfish” and his 2016 collaboration with YFN Lucci, “Everyday We Lit,” which peaked at No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100. At the time of his death, he was just released from his deal with Atlantic Records and was going independent.

On Monday evening, many who knew the rapper shared condolences and regrets over the loss of life and potential.

“After Pop Smoke there’s no way we as rappers or our loved ones are still posting locations to our whereabouts. To show waffles & some fried chicken????! He was such a pleasure to work with. Condolences to his mom & family. This makes me feel so sick. Jesus. #SIP #PnbRock,” Nicki Minaj wrote on Twitter.

G Herbo also shared a post on Instagram Stories. “you just f**ed me up gang sh*t break my heart fr love you bro God Bless Yo family,” Herbo said in all caps.

Rich The Kid also shared a throwback photo of him and Rock in better times with several crying and heartbroken emojis.

“Prayers to bro family & kids,” Hitmaka wrote on Instagram Stories.

Monica Denise also shared a prayer for the rapper’s relatives and children.

“My heart aches for his mother, father, children, family and friends! I send my deepest condolences to all of you during this difficult time!! FLY HIGH PNB,” she wrote.

“Damn mane this is so sad,” Juicy J wrote on Twitter.

Kodak Black also publicly mourned the rapper. “Mann I been low all day due to a headache I had earlier So im just getting to the news fr,” Kodak began in all caps.

Meanwhile, Cardi B called out those who were blaming PnB’s baby mother for posting the location considering the tragedy. “I highly doubt nikkas was looking at PMBs babymom IG. He was in a bad location and people stay outside plotting. It’s very irresponsible and inconsiderate to blame her for something so tragic,” Cardi B said. “we should be sending nothing but love to her and his family at this time,” she added.

The mother of late rapper XXXTentacion also shared a photo of her son and PnB in better times. The rapper’s mother only shared a praying hands emoji, a sign that she was no doubt moved by the death of her son’s friend. The two had collaborated on the song “Middle Child.”

DJ Akademiks also shared a clip from a recent interview ith PnB Rock where the rapper allude to someone who tried to rob him.

Fans are getting an early treat from Nicki Minaj as she released a 35-second teaser for her upcoming song featuring Yung Bleu, “Love In The Way.”

The track features the Trinidadian rapper rapping while Bleu croons in his signature style. Nicki Minaj is enjoying continued success on the heels of her “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix),” which is again on this week’s top 5 best-selling tracks. Minaj had previously asked if fans wanted to hear a snippet of the song, and she later released the teaser for the track called “Love in the Way.”

“CHECK OUT THE SNIPPET & PRESAVE NOW,” Minaj wrote, along with a series of flame emojis. “Dropping FRIDAY @_YungBleu.”

The cover art for the track was released the day prior, with Minaj showing off her trim figure while Yung Bleu stood next to her in a long duster and suit made of the same fabric. The tweet went viral with 26.5 K likes and thousands of replies and retweets. Meanwhile, U.K based artist Sam Tompkins shared with excitement that “Love in the Way” is a sample of one of his songs.

“NICKI MINAJ SPITTING OVER A SAMPLE OF MY SONG WHOLE ARE YOU CRAZY,” Tompkins said as he added the link to the sampled track, “Whole.”

Fans also reacted to the snippet. “OH SH** this sounds so good I can’t wait for it to be release,” one fan wrote. “Letssss freakinnnn gooooooo I waited for this for likeeee foreverrrrrr can’t wait to hear it,” another said. “YESSSSS!!! Yung Bleu, on the other hand, has been very modest in curtailing his excitement at collaborating with one of the world’s biggest artists. “Putting up 3-4 more the next 12 months watch this ! album time,” he wrote in one tweet.

The singer also co-signed a tweet from another fan who likened the song to a classic. “It’s a beautiful song, they type songs that’s gonna live forever,” Bleu wrote.

Chris Brown has settled the lawsuit brought by Greensleeves Publishing.

The R&B singer’s lawyer filed a motion on Wednesday (Sept 7) to stay the case as the parties reached a final settlement. Chris Brown along with his company Chris Brown TV and Song Music Entertainment, was sued last year by Greensleeves which owns the masters for the Red Rat track “Tight Up Skirt.” Greensleeves had sued Brown and the other defendants for $1.5 million in damages.

According to Greensleeves Publishing, Brown had copied key parts of Red Rat’s 1997 hit, including lyrics from the hook and the song’s melody, and used it in his 2017 single, “Privacy.”

The parties, however, applied to the court for a stay in proceedings as they negotiate a settlement. In a September 7 letter obtained by Urban Islandz sent to Judge Robert Lehrburger of the United States District Court, Southern District of New York, Brown’s lawyer James Sammataro said that Chris Brown, whose full name is Christopher Maurice Brown, and his company Chris Brown TV said that the parties had come to a settlement.

“We write with the permission of Daniel Aaron, counsel plaintiff Greensleeves Publishing Ltd., and Jonathan King, counsel for the co-defendant Sony Music Entertainment… we write to advise Your Honor that the parties have reached a settlement in principal which fully resolves the matter,” Sammataro wrote.

Sammataro added that the agreement has not been reduced in writing as yet and requested 45 days to finalize the settlement.

“The parties intend to reduce their settlement into a formal agreement,” he continues. “This process will necessitate a little time, particularly given my current schedule which includes a trial scheduled for next week. In light of the parties’ settlement, and in order to [allow] for sufficient time to finalize the needed paperwork, the parties respectfully request that this matter be stayed for a period of 45 days so that they can amicably resolve this matter.”

Nothing about the terms of the negotiations or settlement was revealed, and the stay order was granted by the judge.

Last year, Greensleeves claimed that Brown used the iconic “aye you girl inna the tight up skirt” in his chorus, which is the same line in the hook “Tight Up Skirt”. Brown’s song is now certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Red Rat, who was not a part of the lawsuit, has not commented on it. However, Greensleeves claimed that the song was the biggest hit from Red Rat’s debut album, ‘Oh, no…it’s Red Rat’, and it was produced and distributed by Greensleeves Publishing.

According to Greensleeves in its court filings, it owns and administers exclusive music publishing rights in the United States for Red Rat’s single.

Along with the lyrics, the lawsuit also showed examples of how similar the timbre and cadence were between both songs, as it alleged that in “Privacy,” there was “a very spare instrumental accompaniment.”

Greensleeves Publishing which is a prominent label in the reggae and dancehall music industry, has been around since 1975.

The company has one of the largest reggae and dancehall catalogs for some of the top 90s artists, including Barrington Levy, Red Rat, Dennis Brown, Mad Cobra, and many others.

The Publishing house has not commented on the latest development in the case. This is the second lawsuit that Chris Brown has settled this week. On Thursday (Sept 8), the artist settled a lawsuit brought by two artists who claimed that his song “No Guidance” featuring Drake copied a song they released years before.
