Police investigate burglary of jewellery store in George Town | Loop Cayman Islands

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) reported that, shortly before 12:20am on July 8, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to an alarm report at a jewellery store on Goring Avenue.

Upon their arrival the officers observed that the store had been broken into. The culprits gained entry through the front entrance, smashing the front doors, and several glass cases containing jewellery within the store were broken into. The culprits are suspected to have made off with a large amount of jewellery, however the specific items that were taken are still being determined.

The matter is currently under investigation and anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information is asked to contactGeorge Town CID at 949-4222.
