137 new COVID cases; 3 in ICU

Another 137 persons have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health today.

Consequently, active COVID-19 cases in Guyana have gone up to 1,014. This includes three patients in the COVID-19 ICU and the remaining persons in either home (974) or institutional (37) isolation.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 death toll in the country remains at 1,264 while the total number of recoveries from the life-threatening virus is 66,589.
