Caymax Sports Ltd., owners of the Cayman Islands Classic, has announced that the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa has been named the exclusive hotel sponsor of the tournament taking place in the Cayman Islands from November 21 to 23.
Commenting on the hotel’s exclusive sponsorship, Jill Turk, Cayman Islands Classic Chief Strategy Officer said:
We are very excited that the Westin Grand Cayman has been named as our exclusive hotel sponsor for the second year. The resort is the perfect beachfront location offering everything needed for an enjoyable stay while attending the Cayman Islands Classic.
Jim Mauer, Managing Director of the Westin Grand Cayman, also reacted to the announcement.
Mauer said:
We are ecstatic tobe the exclusive hotel sponsor for the 2022 Cayman Islands Classic.
Not only does this incredible tournament bring tourism to Grand Cayman, it provides our local community with a fantastic opportunity to experience big games from some of the best teams in college basketball.
Mauer continued by saying that he hopes that “this tournament will inspire young Caymanians and residents to follow their dreams – whether that consists of playing professional basketball, excelling at another sport, or even achieving greatness on a different path.”
