Barbados’ Amanda Reifer receives first Grammy nomination Loop Barbados

It has been an amazing year for Bajan singer and songwriter Amanda Reifer, and it just gotten even better – with a Grammy Nomination.
The Recording Academy announced the nominees for the 2023 Grammys on Tuesday, November 15 and our ‘Crazy’ artiste was on the list.
Reifer was nominated for her feature on Kendrick Lamar’s track ‘Die Hard’, which also includes Blxst.
The song which is on Kendrick’s fifth studio album Mr Morale & The Big Steppers was a hit, debuting at No 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs Chart this May.
‘Die Hard’ will be competing against ‘Beautiful’ by DJ Khaled featuring Future and Sza; ‘Wait For U’ by Future featuring Drake and Tems; ‘Big Energy’ by Latto and Jack Harlow’s ‘First Class’ for Best Melodic Rap Performance.
Reifer took to her Instagram to share her excitement and gratitude.
“This is my first time as a Grammy Nominee!! (as an artist and as a writer) and I can’t figure out how exactly to put my BIG gratitude into this little caption,” she wrote while also thanking the Recording Academy, Kendrick Lamar and all involved in the studio project.
The 65th Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 5.
