Members of the public are being informed that the police 119 emergency number service has been restored.

Reports are that the system went down early Monday.

A release from the Corporate Communication Unit (CCU), reported that a technical team–from their telecommunications provider spent hours working to resolve the issue.

The police have since apologized for any inconvenience that the breakdown in the system may have caused.
